By: Andrew Hammett - Published August 29, 2007 at 10:57 PM EDT - Writer Archive
In a last minute move, United 5 withdrew from CEVO P before their scheduled matches tonight.

USA - After struggling to schedule both of their Week 1 matches and beating the Chicago Chimera in Week 2, United 5 has withdrawn from CEVO Professional for Counter-Strike Source.

Michael Stevens, an admin for CEVO, told GotFrag, "In a series of unfortunate events, United5 has decided that it is in their best interest to cease online competition, thus dropping the league."

It's unclear what the u5 roster will be doing now:

Jimmy "foogs" Koller
Bobby "kEEN" Aihama
Albert "hahN" Hahn
Cyrus "org" Habibi
Ben "theNuT" Hui
Amir "killabeez" Behmaram

When contacted about the move, Cyrus "org" Habibi said, "We actually just dropped it. Honestly, I'd like to give you a full statement some other time. Nothing is 100% sure for us right now, but when we find that out we'll be sure to let GotFrag know."
