Counter-Strike Source: DigitalLife Underway

By: Ryan Cole - Published September 28, 2007 at 4:13 AM EDT - Writer Archive
Today marks the first day of competition at the Javits Center in New York City for DigitalLife 2007. Three of the six CGS franchise teams; New York 3D, San Francisco Optx, and LA Complexity along with other top tier Counter-Strike Source teams are in attendance.

Action is starting to get underway here in New York City with eight of the most talented professional teams in the Counter-Strike Source community battling it out for a chance to be crowned DigitalLife 2007 Champions and take home $10,000 in hard earned cash. Anything can happen, as all competitors are now on an equal level playing field. Expect these teams to show no mercy here as the top 5 contenders earn a prize purse exceeding $1,000 or more and a possible boost of confidence heading into the NewEgg LANfest 2k7 tournament next weekend.

With the exception of only one European team in attendance, mTw.PokerRoom, the competition is shaping up to be an American based frenzy. Every second of every round, every frag, and every point in the tournament can make or break a team today. Look for great matchups, slight upsets, and a skillful showing by all teams as GotFrag brings you the latest scores and updates the moment they happen.

A dispute regarding a smoke grenade placed in front of de_nuke's squeaky door has overturned the result of a round in the first half. The admins had both teams replay the round with Pandemic picking up the round. The match proceeded to overtime with Pandemic winning.
