GotFrag TV will be broadcasting live from the floor at Newegg LANfest2K7 in Ontario, California to bring you the premier Source competition in the nation. ![]() Click here to tune in! While WCG is going on a thousand miles to the North, there is a story brewing in sunny southern California to the tune of one of the most competitive CS:Source tournaments to date. It is a story that has all the elements of a superior novel. We have the towering colossus of a force played by the quintessential transition team – the L.A. Complexity. We have the scrappy young underdog with nothing to lose, whose role - filled by Turmoil – will be fueled by the fires of revenge after being soundly beaten by coL not once, but twice in New York the weekend previous. The old guard of Complexity had a death grip on the DigiLife tournament, losing only sixteen rounds in five games without any real challenger putting up much of a fight, but their time-proven inability, or perhaps unwillingness, to consistently change up their gameplay could be their Achilles heel here at Newegg. One could ask why mess with success? You can bet that Turmoil will be quite happy to, having been preparing to counter-play their rivals. The enigmatic Turmoil squad, led by team captain Steve “Sasquatch” Csikos, will have a rare opportunity to take advantage of a rematch only a week after being trounced; we will see if that week was time well spent. Of course, our story has more than two protagonists -- LANfest2K7 plays host to a slew of supporting roles, many of which have a legitimate shot of stealing the spotlight with just a single upset or decimating match presence. We have the world weary combatants of 3D.NY, whose intimidating presence at an event once drew all eyes to them, and now have been relegated to a team fighting for the recognition they once basked in. Taking Turmoil to double overtime in NYC was a step in the right direction, but losing to Pandemic was a leap the opposite way.. We have the Dallas Venom and the Carolina Core, notably absent on the east coast. One player who did show up in New York, however, was Sam “Devour” Chamma, who rang for the Turmoil roster that took the runner-up position to coL. Playing for his regular team, the Core, here in California will definitely put the hurt on Turmoil, and create an interesting twist should the two teams play each other. The real question will be: can Devour make the appropriate adjustments and fall back into his role within the Core? What is a story without storytellers? Fret not, for GotFrag TV is pulling out all the stops in one of the largest productions the crew has ever attempted. We've brought out the best casters in the business. The GotFrag staples of Trevor "Midway" Schmidt and Mark "Jesuit" Cheben will be taking their seats at the casting table. Joining them in California, Luke "Virulence" Bodenheimer and Vince "Violator" Olivero who both have impressive records within the game broadcast industry. They will be supported by a veritable audio-video army, so you can be assured that the best seat in the house will most definitely be your swiveling office chair. Throughout the weekend, you will experience a barrage of breaking news, interviews, match highlights and expert analysis presented with the professional polish of the world’s best eSports broadcast organization. So kick up your feet and crack open the first Mountain Dew, because this is a story you won't want to miss. Important Updates!
