We're very excited to announce that CSPromod Beta 1.0 will be released to the public in roughly 9 hours, at 9:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time on October 18th, 2007. Download links will be made available at the above time. We ask that you DO NOT HOST YOUR OWN MIRRORS. Through our North American hosting and server partner, Divo.net, we've secured enough bandwidth to handle all global download requests. Again, DO NOT HOST YOUR OWN MIRRORS. External mirrors will be tracked, pursued, and taken offline. CSPromod is free to download, and requires the latest version of Valve's Counter-Strike: Source. CSP is free for everyone, including server companies: if you're already licensed to host and sell CS:Source servers, you're also authorized to host and sell dedicated CSPromod servers around the world. CSP's official hosting partners in North America and Europe, Divo.net and Game-Hosting.com, have already begun setting up dozens of official CSP public servers in their respective locations. IP's will be readily available via the in-game server browser. If you're looking to purchase dedicated server space for CSP, we heavily recommend these two hosts. Divo's 24/7 automatic setup interface has already been configured for CSP, so you can purchase your CSP server space in North America right now, before you actually download the game. We're so happy to finally be releasing CSP to the public. We hope you all enjoy it. Remember, EVERYTHING ABOUT THE GAME CAN BE TWEAKED AND CHANGED; PLEASE TAKE THE TIME READ THE README FILE, AS IT INCLUDES EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW. We'll soon be moving to CSPromod.com version 2, which will allow bug reporting and community votes, among other things. For now, use the forums to provide us with feedback; but READ THE README BEFORE DOING SO. On behalf of everyone on the CSPromod team, thanks for your patience. Welcome to the future of Counter-Strike. Sincerely, Alex Garfield Executive Director CSPromod Source: http://www.cspromod.com/ |
