Counter-Strike Source: Gravitas CS:Source calls it quits

By: Nick Bee - Published December 03, 2007 at 3:35 PM EST - Writer Archive
After a 2nd place finish in the Season 4 CEVO-P Playoffs, Gravitas splits up.
On September 11th, 2007, the Gravitas Gaming organization obtained One Eyed Zomblerz, an American Counter-Strike:Source team competing in CEVO-Pro Season Four. Under the new name, Gravitas managed a second place finish behind Complexity in the season playoffs.

A few days shy of three months after the name change, the team is breaking apart. While most have already found positions within other teams, Cory "badappleS" Branagan, is retiring from the competitive scene.

The press release from Gravitas points out that the split is happening on good terms with members bearing no ill will towards management. Reasons for the breakup or simply cited as "the players will be going their separate ways."

From the press release:
"The Zomblerz crew has had a lot of fun, and achieved a lot of success in the last year. It's unfortunate to see the team disband after playing together for two years -- I'll surely miss playing with everyone, and wish everyone the best of luck."

- Andres "Misty" Gunaratne
As for where the remaining four players are headed, nothing has been officially released yet but expect the announcements within the next few days.

The former Gravitas

United States Andres "Misty" Gunaratne
United States Cory "badappleS" Branagan
United States Carson "classified" Holt
United States Eric "brawwr" Neer
United States Justin "Heatwave" McKay
