Hey url, please tell us a little about yourself, and your gaming history.

Hey my name's Tom 'url' Chenery, I'm 19 and am from Lincolnshire, England. I started competitive gaming with CS:S, having played it since it's release around 2.5 years ago. I have played in top UK teams for the last year or so, such as Inspire Gaming, Reason Gaming and 4Kings, I have attended numerous LAN events and most recently finished 1st place at i32.

When did you arrive in Los Angeles and what do you think of it? What have you been doing since you arrived?

We arrived on the 24th which was a Saturday, since then we have been chilling out most of the time, been shopping in Santa Monica, bowling, cinema and most importantly we have been spending a lot of time in the Jacuzzi which is located just outside our apartment. The weather is great here and the cheesecake factory just down the road is one of the best restaurants I have been to and is not too expensive either, so we have been there most days!

What do your family and friends think about you being in LA? Are they supportive of your professional gaming career?

My family love the fact that gaming got me this great opportunity, they knew that I had been working towards this for the last 6 months and supported me all the way. Of course it’s a big contrast to becoming a professional footballer in their minds but it's still going to be a great experience for me at an early stage of my life. I mean, who doesn't want to travel the world playing computer games and get paid for it?! My friends and family can’t wait to see the UK championships on Sky ONE at the end of December, it should be a great show and I'm looking forward to watching them watch it!

How have you been preparing for the CGS World Finals? Have you been working particularly hard, or just training as usual?

We have been using our usual training regime. However, leading up to our game vs. Seoul/Core we will be practicing especially hard to try and gain the extra edge, the rest of our team are relying on us to bring home a lot of points so we need to be up to scratch. You can over practice however and we will be making sure that doesn't happen, we have a lot of experience so we all know when enough is enough.

What kind of advice has your General Manager given you going into the finals?

Yeah we have had a big team chat with the other players, and Sujoy our GM. We know exactly what we have to do in order for the team to win and we thrive on that pressure just like at any other tournament and we hope to get the job done.

Have you had chance to play against any US teams yet? How does their play style differ from your own?

We haven't had the chance to play an American team yet, but the Euros have, and their results have been close all the way. Their style of play is much more aggressive from what I hear and we can't wait to play them!
