Counter-Strike Source: CGS CSS Individual Finals Melee

By: Andrew Hammett - Published December 07, 2007 at 4:21 AM EST - Writer Archive
Complexity, Rio, and more will compete in the Championship Gaming Series Individual finals this weekend, crowning the best in each game independently of their franchise's weaknesses in other games.
While the franchises from around the world continue to strive for a CGS World Finals championship, a lesser hyped competition will be taking place at the same time. The CGS has quietly organized an individual playoff championship for each separate game. The goal is to determine the best player or team from that respective game. The eyes of eSports fans will be centered on the CS:Source Invididual Finals, as Counter-Strike fan favorite compLexity did not qualify to participate in the main event due to their franchise's performance in other areas.

LA complexity, Berlin Allianz (NoA), Rio Sinistro (mibr), and the Singapore Sword (Titans) will take to the stage in a not-made-for-TV tournament to determine the best in CSS. The games will be webcast from thecgs.com and HLTV has been promised to the fans by the CGS.

GotFrag will post updated event times as soon as we confirm them with CGS officials. As always, GotFrag will be your home for full coverage of the 2007 Championship Gaming Series World Final LIVE from Los Angeles, California.
