The release of Wang stems from his appearance at the 2007 Dust-Off Championship where he played CS 1.6 on a pug team. azn 0 cgs 1
how could you ever get that mixed up? humm
gogo gl ericccooooooo
The worst thing IMO CGS can do is restrict azn and cut him so much hassle. eSports no matter what form and its high level competition should be encouraged. If azn was to dominate a small lan comp, everyone wld say "wow theres that guy who plays in CGS with that team" its only going to give CGS more credibility.
I really dont think CGS hit the right spot with this issue, which brings up questions about CGS's management decisions and professionalism.
cs1.6 10000000-0 CGS
See the similarities? aZn likes 1.6 more than source and also Jason Lake + some other pros said its a borken game thus cs1.6 10000000-0 CGS.
oh wait no, he is an idiot for knowingly breaching his contract. yet you 1.6 fanbois will never see it.
stopped reading there
"if its 2 good to be true, it probably is."

ul kevin, gl and comeback to 1.6!
Glad this idiot is out.
CGS is trying to do great things with esports, i don't really see the need for them to limit some of the players chances to join events like that small 1.6 event or even the CPL. The team he was going with in 1.6 were just a bunch of friends that wanted to compete for fun. I doubt he was on practicing and taking the whole tournament all serious. He plays source with his real team and plays 1.6 on the side with friends (and yes i know he broke his contract, like i said i agree with #27).
This is how i see it, if CGS allowed their source teams to compete at the CPL, it would be beneficial. It would add much more exposure to what these CGS teams are about. People around the world are gonna wonder, who are the Chicago Chimera (just an example); they have teams that represent cities? The CPL may be called the Cyber Professional League but it's really not a league at all, it's a tournament. If these CGS teams place (which should be easy), they would actually take CPL's money and go back to their league that pays them $30,000. They would also get interviewed and they could talk about the CGS. People that still play 1.6 will want to see a lot of their idols like ksharp and Frod, it would promote them to buy source so that they can spectate them in sourcetv. There's just so many benefits and no down side :/
If people see aZn play 1.6 for fun, it's exposing himself to gamers in general; the people that actually care about esports. They're gonna know that he's playing for fun because he's actually a professional source player that plays for CGS.
I love CGS and I do watch it on directv, just want it to succeed. I think they picked the right people (torbull, lake, dkt, bsl, heaton) and have an allstar lineup from players to management. They shouldn't feel threatened if they are the premier league. Even the CPL caters to CGS by switching their rules for their CGS teams.
