Eximius GM Brad Dick announced via IRC that Eximius Sports is returning to the CSS scene with their newest acquisition, Team LucK.
USA - It wasn't too long ago that Eximius Sports parted ways with the majority of their Counter-Strike: Source squad. The only player who ended up staying was the veteran Jon "messiaH" Hammond. Then, a week ago, Eximius announced that they were taking applications for their DoD:Source and CSS Divisions, and today, Eximius announced their new CSS Squad: the men of Team LucK.

The official press release can be found below:

Eximius Sports is happy to announce a new addition to our Counter-Strike Source division. We are happy to add on team “LucK.” LucK is a team who is much underrated with some very familiar faces on it. Most of the players have played together under ForbiddeN early in seasons one through four. This team will be playing for Eximius Sports in CEVO-Professional and CAL-Invite competition. Were confident that this squad will do something that not many other teams have been able to do; and that is to compete with the Championship Gaming Series teams.

Our previous squads have had a lot of talent in the previous seasons of CEVO-P. The difference between this team and the others is dedication. We feel that this team has past chemistry along with a lot of LAN experience to go far.

"I came to Jon “messiah” Hammond about the idea of LucK coming to Eximius Sports to represent us in the upcoming CEVO season. He talked to the guys and they felt that it would be a good move for them," said Eximius GM Brad Dick when asked about the pickup. "I have always been impressed with Jon’s work ethic, he impressed me most by taking the reigns of last season’s team and giving the team something it never had, order. I think with a vigorous practice schedule and good attitudes this team can go far.”

“I am so excited to be part of the Eximius organization again. I think Brad Dick is an awesome person whose long term goals are aligned with mine," said Eximius player Jon "messiaH" Hammond. "Our new roster is packed with talent with a 1.6 legend and some old teammates and friends. For the first time, I feel we have a roster that has the right mentality to redefine greatness. I'm just filled with gratitude that I get such an amazing opportunity.”

“Well for right now were going to focus on the CEVO-P season, there are not any LANs other than Winter CPL that is actually going on right now. I have heard there are some things in the mix, but that is another time and place." continued Dick, speaking of the future of his new Counter-Strike: Source team. "Of course I want all my players to achieve CGS status. I want them to go to the qualifier and get the chance to be picked up individually by a CGS franchise.”

When asked if he was upset about the CGS not expanding next season he said, “I heard rumors about me possibly being looked at for the CGS, but with the CGS deciding to not expand I guess it really does not matter, this leaves me with staying in the multi-gaming scene. I love eSports and regardless if things go my way or not, I am still a promoter of it. I do not blame the CGS for not expanding yet, they are developing that fan base, and that is a good thing. Of course, I was disappointed but patience is a virtue. The CGS is the pinnacle of eSports and I hope that it is around for a very long time. One day they might need me; if they never do then I am still a promoter of eSports and will love to help see it grow.”

The new lineup consists of

United States Jon “messiah” Hammond
United States Michael “HARE” Otoole
United States David “Allbrook” Allbrook
United States Mike "M1kestonE" Stone
United States Edelreich "br1cks" Deloslado
United States Nathaniel "LooseCannon" Ernstoff
