Today, The Last Resort announced its starting lineup for its American Counter-Strike: Source team. Via their IRC channel, TLR announced they are officially picking up Zach "cannoN" Cannon, of Verge fame, and Matt "ChEekZ" Csikos, formerly of Turmoil, and brother to Turmoil leader Stephen "sasquatcH" Csikos.

TLR player Quin "ambushT" Little was excited about the pickup, although he acknowledged he didn't know too much about his new teammates' previous experience, saying, "I've only played with them [cannoN and ChEekZ] for a few days, but in the short time they've practiced and played with us, they've played well, and I think they bring a lot of experience to the team."

When asked further about TLR's future plans, Little replied, "TLR has always wanted to hit up a few lans, but for different reasons we unfortunately never made it to one as a complete team." Little cited the CGS Combine, as well as RYULAN as future possibilities.

Zach Cannon is a name known through the Source community, though he hasn't been too active in the competitive scene as of late. He was a top player for Verge Gaming, and afterwards joined Gaming Revolution to compete at the inaugural CGS Combine. After gRev broke up, Cannon disappeared from the competitive gaming scene. Csikos is a veteran of Team Turmoil, and is the brother of Turmoil in-game leader Stephen "sasquatcH" Csikos.

When asked about how this affected their relationship, Csikos said, "At first it was awkward, but now it's getting back to normal. I mean, I respect his decision and what he did; he was thinking about his team and their best interests."

Cannon, when asked about his teammates, stated that he felt "confident." "I am very excited actually, I have played with TLR for about 2 weeks now and so far it has been great. The team has incredible chemistry and a great amount of skill to boot. I see this team placing well in any tournament we partake in."

When asked about TLR's chances this season, Cannon went on to say, "Well, we're a new team. I would love to say first place, but given the fact we haven't played much together, I will be safe and say top 5."
