In mid-November, H2k-Gaming announced that British team ‘The Last Resort’ would be joining them as their new Counter-Strike: Source line-up. However, less than one month later, the players approached H2k’s management to explain that they would not be able to reach the standard of play demanded by the organisation, and that it would be best for them to move on.

Now, after careful deliberation, H2k-Gaming has settled on another Counter-Strike: Source line-up, formerly known as team STUD. An exclusively French team, STUD was formed in mid 2007, and was home to a number of players from top 1.6 and Source line-ups, including WebOne, armaTeam, Against All Authority and emulate. STUD will now be playing under the H2k-Gaming organisation in leagues such as the French ESL Pro Series and the ESL Major Series.


Jack "Le_Freak" Benard, General Manager and co-owner of H2k-Gaming, released the following statement:

"Today, H2k-Gaming is delighted to announce a new addition to our organisation. The history between H2k-Gaming and Counter-Strike teams, especially in 1.6, has been very good, with amazing results on the ESWC and ESL Masters among others. We hope to continue this going into Counter-Strike: Source. Our new addition is the French team formerly known as STUD. They have achieved some promising results online and are currently playing in the ESL Major Series. We believe that, with the support of H2k-Gaming, they can become one of Europe’s finest. Some of them have already played in various big French teams. To name a few: WebOne, armaTeam, Against All Authority and emulate. So please join us in welcoming STUD to the H2k-Gaming family!"

Floran "crZ" Thoumelin, team leader of H2k’s new CS:S team, also released a statement:

"First I want to say that we are very pleased and proud to join the multi-gaming organisation H2k-Gaming. We know that it’s a big deal; we are the first French team to join a European organisation. We want to say thanks to H2k-Gaming for all the support and the confidence they have in our team to make this decision and we will do the best we can to represent them as good as possible."
