Optx - won over 3D in a big way, reaffirming that they rule when it comes to Dust2 and that they may take this season a little more serious than season's past. 2. Devastation - despite the organization shuffle, they managed to overcome a 7-2 first half deficit to win 10-9 in overtime against the CGS rookie Brawwwr and the Dallas Venom. 3. Carolina Core - opened the season at 2-0 with a hard fought win over x3o 10-8, suggesting that this team continues to improve and prove people wrong. 4. eGe - STRuK and gang defeated Devastation and TLR this week, opening the season undefeated and taking down both Csikos brothers in the process. 5. L.A. Complexity - scared U5 out of the league before it started, AGAIN, and for a solid performance against x3o with clock-work like play. Got Skills? He has already accumulated +14 frags and has the highest FPR and DAR in the league. Exactly how he finished up last last season of CEVO; leading the league in almost every category of GameSense. Surprise of the Week: The Last Resort – From playoff contender to punching bag ... oh how things change. Dropping games this early isn't a good way to make it into the post season, and dropping them to second tier teams is an even worse way. Luckily there are no Zomblerz this season, and Furia will take most of the "they dont belong here" heat (They already spared TLR an appearance in stock falling). Stock Rising: San Francisco Optx - Warmach1ne and the gang absolutely dominated thier first two opponents this week, one of them being 3D. Not usually known for thier online prowess, the Optx look to be coming out of the gate with something to prove. Stock Falling: Mexico City Furia - No one expected the Furia to come into the league kicking ass. They have not failed to live up to those expectations. In fact they have been given a quick and brutal welcome to the big leagues. With 15-3 and 16-2 losses, it is obvious the Furia have a way to go before they can seriously be a threat. The only consolation so far for Furia is they only have one way to go... up. |
