Counter-Strike Source: mTw announces new CS:S line-up

By: Jack Westerman - Published January 23, 2008 at 4:34 PM EST - Writer Archive
German organization mTw has revealed their new Counter-Strike: Source line-up.
The new team includes Andre ‘nooky’ Utesch, who had been a part of mTw’s Counter-Strike 1.6 line-up until they disbanded earlier this month. He now rejoins the organization as a Counter-Strike: Source player, along with some other familiar faces from the European scene.

Philipp ‘osirisbash’ Kaczmarczyk is now officially joining the line-up, although he has played with the team previously. In addition, Nils ‘lb’ Koch will be joining as the team’s sixth man, and will fill in for other players when required.

Andre ‘nooky’ Utesch released the following statement regarding the new team:

"I look forward to this new challenge in CS:S. I have played for a few weeks now and this game is always better to come right. Our goals for the first season are to have fun and gain motivation in the game. We have a good mix of young players and experienced players and I think we are in a very good position."

Utesch also discussed his move from 1.6 to Source with GotFrag...

"There are different reasons for my move to Source. First of all, it was more fun playing CS:S than CS 1.6 when I started playing CS:S. Second was that there was no team in 1.6 that I wanted to play for and I did not want to play only for money - so I decided to go to mTw with people I like to play. This whole thing is new, so I'm really fresh and totaly motivated."

When asked whether or not the team will be aiming for the Championship Gaming Series, Utesch replied, "we have no idea at the moment. For now, we will focus on ourselves and try to practice as much as possible to get the best out of the team".

The new line-up of mTw.css is as follows:

Germany Andre ‘nooky’ Utesch
Germany Andreas ‘ph0s’ Wicht
Germany Philipp ‘osirisbash’ Kaczmarczyk
Germany Florian ‘puRit’ Dobberphul
Germany Jan ‘Bishop’ Koch
Germany Nils ‘LB’ Koch

why do they have to start bullshitting about how CSS is more fun to play. Obviously he switched because he couldn't find a team who could pay him. Damn liars

who cares? Isnt realy interesting to watch the german css scene. Teams like coL and 3d lost nearly the half of their fanbases for switching to source, so who give anything about an mtw css team with guys like bishop or nooky!?

#11 who cares? Then why are u posting here, if u hate css go to cs1.6 forum and bark there.

3D might lose some of their fan based when they switch to css, but dont you think with CSS with around the globe tv coverage they got more fan ever than before? (including outside US like me)

Ps: I never knew about 3D team before until my friend and i watched them on TV - CGS tour.
