ESL's European Nations Cup has announced the addition of Counter-Strike: Source to the lineup for 2008
On Thursday, the Electronic Sports League (ESL) announced that for the fifth season of their European Nations Championship, CS:Source will be added to the already established lineup of CS 1.6, Warcraft III, and FIFA 08.

The decision was made because, according to the press release, "Right now Counter-Strike: Source is a constant part of the European eSports scene. Every nation got it's top teams and competition is running almost everywhere."

It goes on to mention the success of the game in the German and Italian ESL leagues, and the addition of CS:Source to the ESL Major Series as contributing factors to including it in the ENC.

The games that will be featured in the 2008 ENC are now:

Counter-Strike 1.6
Counter-Strike: Source
FIFA 08
Warcraft III

The European Nations Championship finals are scheduled to be held once again at the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany, this year from August 24th-28th. The top four teams from each game will compete for the grand prize.
