ESL's European Nations Cup has announced the addition of Counter-Strike: Source to the lineup for 2008 The decision was made because, according to the press release, "Right now Counter-Strike: Source is a constant part of the European eSports scene. Every nation got it's top teams and competition is running almost everywhere." It goes on to mention the success of the game in the German and Italian ESL leagues, and the addition of CS:Source to the ESL Major Series as contributing factors to including it in the ENC. The games that will be featured in the 2008 ENC are now: Counter-Strike 1.6 Counter-Strike: Source FIFA 08 Warcraft III The European Nations Championship finals are scheduled to be held once again at the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany, this year from August 24th-28th. And the Source scene in Europe, unless I'm mistaken, is about as robust as the 1.6 scene in North America.
I do hope it is possible to play in ESL for '08 for CGS teams, though. I think it would be quite interesting.
Exactly. It's pointless to argue with someone who writes "no" instead off "know" and uses periods to get around GotFrag's swear filter.
