Since its switch from 1.6 following the team's loss at the WCG USA event in September of 2007, the x3o Counter-Strike: Source squad has seen little change.

Going into inactivity is Charlie "cbz" Pyo who, according to x3o, is leaving temporarily to "re-focus on his personal life and relationships". Joining him, Erik "da bears" Stromberg will be leaving the team to be able to engage in "working opportunities that may result in relocating and working in a new environment that is not conducive to professional gaming"

While those two players are officially marked as only being inactive until September of 2008, details about plans following that date are unknown.

Recently however, details were released announcing the addition of Todd “anger” Williams to the roster. A lesser known Counter-Strike source player, but with some notable teams to his credit, Williams details his Source history on x3o's website.

"My source history is mainly simple , I played for Children of the Sun . Splitting off after Summer CPL 2005 I joined a team called CB7 for CEVO-Professional Source Season 1. The team died shortly after I left for military school. Returning a year later, I joined team Devastation for a season of CAL-Invite and half a season of CEVO. I started attending LANs a lot more and eventually got noticed by the Check-Six organization.

I attended the BUY.com CGS Region 1 Combine Qualifiers with Check-Six, finishing third and advancing to the CGS Combine. We broke up afterwards for internal reasons. I attended the combine with team XPC and then afterwards didn't get drafted. That pretty much sums up my history."

Williams will be replacing Pyo in the upcoming CEVO-P matches and any tournament in the future. A permanent replacement for Stromberg has not been released yet, and he may be playing in CEVO matches until one is selected. The team intends to focus on finding its fifth within the next few weeks.
