Counter-Strike Source: Reason Gaming finalizes roster

By: Jack Westerman - Published February 03, 2008 at 1:25 PM EST - Writer Archive
Reason Gaming has sanctioned its two trial players, finalizing its Counter-Strike: Source line-up.
In mid December, Reason Gaming announced that 2 players had been released from their Counter-Strike: Source line-up, and that Daniel "giftig" Ivarsson and Christofer "Helblinde" Nilsson had joined to replace them. However, they were only considered to be trial players at the time, and had not been guaranteed a definite place on the team.

Since then the team has been "practicing hard and getting to know each other in and out of game". The two trial players have apparently settled in well, as Reason today announced that they would both become fully fledged members.

In a statement on the Reason Gaming website, Simen "warclown" Aas Henriksen expressed his satisfaction with the pickups:

"Today we announce that Helblinde and giftig will be joining our team! Until now they have been trialing for our team to see how well they would fit in. I’m glad to reveal that they fit the team perfectly and allow our team to be more flexible in many ways. The Swedes are both fabulous guys to hang with, and fits good into the team chemistry. IG5 will be our first event, coming up in ~2 weeks. It will be a challenge as we will have to face off against great teams like London MiNT, Birmingham Salvo, Ebuyer, TLR and Infused (don’t know who else is coming, probably even more good teams). But I’m hoping for some good results at this event, as we come more prepared into this tournament (than i32). Good luck to both our new members - I’m sure you will do good!"

Christofer "Helblinde" Nilsson, one of Reason’s new players, released the following statement:

"It feels really great to be apart of Reason-Gaming with these players. During the last month we have played together it's been very fun to practice, and that's the first time in a long long time I have felt that way. We got lots of LANs coming up, and first out is ig5. We will do everything to win it even though we haven't had the time to sort everything out yet. It's going to be a busy 2008, and I am looking forward to representing Reason-Gaming during these events. And last but not least, thanks to the players out there who have supported me during the last year. I hope you stick around and see what 2008 will bring."

Reason Gaming’s Counter-Strike: Source roster is now as follows:

Norway Simen "warclown" Aas Henriksen (Team Leader)
Denmark Henrik "FeTiSh" Christensen (In-Game Leader)
Denmark Jim "jIMMy" Thorsen
Sweden Christofer "Helblinde" Nilsson
Sweden Daniel "giftig" Ivarsson

european scene is so underrated because of the cgs teams. they're only bits and pieces of the actual best of europe. if they couldve put the best with the best (which they shouldve) it'd be closer to par with NA (maybe not better, but you can never tell when they never play each other...like mtw is a joke).

#8 I would like to see LA Complexity vs Fnatic in the MR15 or MR12 Format... CGS rules suck hardcore, I know its meant to make it "fun" but we want competition. I think thats the reason why I don't like source is because of CGS.

Btw, stop saying Euro is **** because of CGS. Salvo.css kicked US arse, but the other games let salvo down. Also, Fnatic wasn't drafted, which everyone knows was a huge mistake. Not drafting Fnatic is like not drafting COl.
