GotFrag delivers predictions for CEVO CS:S Week 5:1 with guests cass0 and Grt.

This week's map is De_Tuscan. Luckily, by now the teams of CEVO Pro CS:Source Season 5 should be quite familiar to everyone. Join Midway, jESUITS, SirScoots, Singlecoil and this week's guests, David "cassO" Marquez and Garrett "Grt" Bambrough, as GotFrag delivers our own special style of predictions for CEVO Pro CS:S  Season 5 Week 5:1.

David "cassO" Marquez is currently a member of Team XFX, a community voted, promotional team that captured the community's attention with a win in an exhibition match over Complexity at the CGS World Finals and then a first place finish at the CPL Winter Championships. Marquez has had experience in CS:Source on various CAL-M teams, CAL-I Warsow and is also Art Director for GotFrag eSports. Bambrough is a veteran Counter Strike player with the likes of GB and EG and is presently a player for the CGS Season 1 World Champion Chicago Chimera.

GotFrag's all new prediction series delivers what readers want; predictions, short and sweet, by the people that know the game better than anyone. eSports personalities, top players and senior GotFrag staff only! Each predictor has one sentence to predict an outcome and why.

The Last Resort vs. x3o

The Last Resort got a much needed 10-6 win over Team XFX in the second half Week 4 after losing 10-8 to Devastation in the first half of the week. The Last Resort is 3-6 on the season. x3o has won four straight matches after starting the season 0-4. A controversial match against Optx for 4:1 was finally resolved Monday night with one round of overtime going to x3o for the upset. x3o stepped up again in the second half of the week with a 10-8 win over a solid Pandemic lineup.

x3o ... punching bag has only had luck versus the sand bags.

I think somebody is looking to impress at the combine... x3o continues the hot streak.
Their counter-parts are King of the Hill in 1.6, and looks like they are out to prove they can hang with them!

x3o is on a tear right now and I think they keep this going with easy.
x3o is in the winning zone, can't stop wont stop.

Carolina Core vs. San Francisco Optx

Carolina holds firmly in second place in the CEVO standings with a 7-1 record and outscoring their opponents 20-1 in Week 4. The Core dominated Eximius 10-0 in the first night of Week 4 and continued the dominance over Furia 10-1. The Optx look to bounce back after a strange overtime loss to x3o in Week 4. The Optx are 7-1 with a BYE in Week 4:2.

Tough match to call ... it's Tuscan so I'm putting more faith in the DM skills of OptX
This match is what its all about, moe moe moe moe moe moe moe.
Wow...this one could get ugly!  Core won my internal coin flip.
I think x3o exposed Optx and Core is better then people think.  Core pulls this out, no excuse now on the motivation from Kat.
I don't think optx will leave early on this one. You get the blessing from the beanie.

Team XFX vs. Devastation

Team XFX has won one match so far this season over the Furia. In Week 4, XFX suffered losses to Pandemic 10-3 and The Last Resort 10-6. Devastation are 5-3 on the season with a solid Week 4. Devastation got off to a good start in Week 4 with a 10-8 win over The Last Resort and then a big 10-2 win over 3D for the second match night of Week 4.

XFX has let me down EVERY prediction ... never again.
Sasquatch vs Haqshot, I'll go with the furry legend.
Is cassO playing yet? Seriously it's not like you need to worry about him screwing up your winning streak XFX!

Devastion is clearly the better team and I expect them to walk all over XFX.
This is a map where anything can happen, it depends on who practices it more.  Devastation on the other hand has x-zomblers. They dont lose +}

Dallas Venom vs. Mexico City Furia

Dallas is 5-3 on the season and had a rough time of it in Week 4. The Venom went down at the hands of Complexity, 10-6, in the first match night of the Week and were handed another defeat, 10-8, by eGe. The Furia continue to struggle to find their place in CEVO Pro. Although the team had begun to get closer to a win in previous weeks and received a BYE for 4:1, Week 4:2 was not kind to Furia as they go down to the Core 10-1 and remain at the bottom of the league with a 1-7 record.

LOL.
Should be a win for Jax unless Jessica Simpson is hanging around.
Venom will be taking a huge bite out of the Furia in this one!
Venom has to be mad about their upset loss last week and I expect Alex to use his best dress manager award as a thrown weapon at his team's head if they are defeated here.
Noobzaibot if you draft me, you might win. Venom wins by alot.

compLexity LA vs. electronic Gaming evolution

Complexity rolls into Week 5 with a 6-2 record and a surprising loss to Eximius, 10-7, in Week 4:2. Complexity started off Week 4 with a win over Dallas Venom 10-6. eGe sits atop the CEVO standings with a 7-1 record. eGe started off Week 4 with a hard fought overtime win over New York 3D. eGe finished up Week 4 with another win, this time over the Venom 10-8.

coL please for the children in Africa ... win!
coL on the rebound will slow this eGe rocket down.
If coL loses this, I will go hook for the gear I lost last week on the Super Bowl...and film it!

coL got their wake up call last week so betting on them to lose two in a row is fool hardy.
ege wont go down easy, im going with ege for the win.

Eximius Sports vs. 3D.NY

Eximius comes into Week 5 on an extremely high note after a surprising upset of the mighty Complexity Clan, 10-7, in the second half of Week 4. This match was a direct turnaround from their 10-0 loss to the Core in the first half of the week. Eximius are now 4-4 on the season. 3D.NY continues to struggle but are beginning to show signs of life. Still winless this season, 3D was able to take a hot eGe to overtime in 4:1, losing a heartbreaker there. 3D was dealt a solid blow from Devastation 10-2 in the second half of Week 4.

K ... I have been pulling for a 3D upset all season and I'm the one who winds up upset. Eximius wins.

Whatever Brad did to motivate his boys against coL, he will need to do again here against a sleeping giant.
Eximus needs to send the message that last match was not just a "bad" night for coL

If Eximius loses to 3D after beating Complexity, wow.  Don’t blow it, its not a mirage 3D IS THAT BAD!!!
Eximius doesn't seem to be dickin' around. 3D on the other hand...
