After two seasons of playing for Eximius Sports, Brian "zuH" Smith has announced that he will be departing from the roster. Smith had been a part of the team since the end of January when he had rejoined the roster following the Eximius breakup in 2007. In that year, Smith had helped Eximius finish 5th at the CPL.

When GotFrag inquired as to why after such a short time on the team, Smith would decide to leave, Eximius member Michael O'toole stated,

"It's been a rocky 2-3 months with our team not holding down a solid 5. We played with MikeStone at the beginning of the CEVO season and lost him due to some personal and school plans that he was trying to pursue. Immediately after we picked up zuH as a primary AWPer because of his past relations with Messiah in the old Eximius roster. And now we find out 3 weeks before the CGS combine that Brian was prematurely called for a Pipeline/Oil job in Alaska he was planning on accepting later on in the 2009 year. As sad as we were losing Brian as a 5th we were happy and supported him at the same time because that is what he wanted to do."

Team mate David Allbrook has displayed optimism, despite losing a key player,

"I would be lying if I said I didn't think it would affect the team in some way, but we have a really great group of guys, and I am confident that we will bounce back even stronger."

He continued, relaying that the team will "be focusing on securing another great 5th, and just doing what we do".

Eximius is tentatively scheduled to play the San Francisco OPTX this Sunday for week 6:2 of CEVO-Pro Source Season 8.
