Counter-Strike: Source Groups

Due to a lack of turnout, the groups have been reduced from four groups of four teams, to two groups of five teams. The top four teams from each group go through to the double elimination stage, meaning that only one team will be eliminated at the end of the group stage.

#1 If the ruleset is not CGS than it's crappy? Lets give 'em all 16K, thus eliminate the economy system from the game, lets take away the pistol round getting rid of the momentum it generates, let's make the rounds 1.15 or smth, heck who needs strategy just run somewhere and plant. Let's play MR9, I mean who on earth likes seeing a comeback and most importantly lets play ONE round OT. Pure genius..

#8 Just because people believe the old ruleset was better does not mean they "do not support CGS". The CGS ruleset is good for the CGS, and the CGS only. It's a different competition to most of the source ones and it's unique ruleset is a key factor that differentiates itself from other events.

The fact there are two different rulesets make competetive CSS more interesting now, so I'm glad people still use MR15.

It's not a mix, it's their new lineup they still don't want to officially announce it.

they're not allowed to officially announce it. Everyone has known for a while that beta's gone to Ebuyer and wilzOOO and ritch have gone to MiNT but they can't announce it. beta wears both the ebuyer and the MiNT tags when he plays. Officially both teams are a mix.

Mind you, mint with wilzOOO and ritch? Story of england, strong on paper. amazing team.

Why did Jono leave / get cut then? I thought he was a great player. Oh, and lol @ picking up ritch. Great player, but not really the "professional" I'd imagine playing in the CGS.

#1 The turnout has nothing to do with the rules.

All the teams in uk that actually uses cgs rules are here and being a european you should know that no lans/tournametns uses cgs rules here its only cgs who uses it.

#9 true along way down the road. But saying that mr15 isnt better is just wrong. there is so much more competition with mr15, imo that is :=). But cgs rules fits the cgs league and mr15 wouldnt work within cgs as it is now.
