USA - The North American Online Challenge for the CGS Region 1 Combine and Draft get underway with the top three placing teams receiving $500 and a berth to the combine. The competition is full with 32 teams seeded for the CS:Source competition that begins with a single elimination format. The championship round will be the top 4 teams in a double elimination format.

The North American Online Challenge also features competitions for DoA 4, Fifa, as well as a qualifier for the CGS' newest official racing game, Forza2. All teams and players are vying for travel/expense vouchers and berths to the 2008 CGS Region 1 Combine and Draft to be held in Austin, Texas, March 7th-10th. The Combine and Draft are taking place during the internationally famous South By Southwest Music and Film Festival in Austin.

Note: The tournament will use a revised CGS overtime rule that allows for 1 round of overtime but with only $800 start money instead of the normal CGS OT rule of $16,000 start money.
