Steven "Sasquatch" Csikos makes claim of an alleged attempt at match fixing by Complexity's Matt "Warden" Dickens. The match begun and was played through the first half and five rounds into the second when the match was paused due to internet connection problems for Complexity. Devastation was leading the match 8-6. Complexity claimed to being packeted and a ruling was made to continue the match Thursday night. CEVO admins reconvened Thursday evening to make a ruling on starting money for the match and get the match played out. During the investigation of start money, it was revealed that Csikos could not produce a demo from the cut-short second half of the match. Csikos has been given the official 24 hours to produce the demo before an official announcement is made by CEVO. However, the case appears to be open and shut. Rule is: No demo, you forfeit. Before this realization was made however, Csikos claims that Dickens offered him a deal to let Complexity pass through to playoffs by way of Devastation forfeiting and Complexity would split championship earnings with Devastation. Csikos has given a statement to GotFrag about the incident and has provided a screenshot of the IRC conversation discussing the alleged deal. Sasquatch's statement to GotFrag. I logged on tonight at 7 to play our final rounds of the match. I did not believe my money would be in question due to us up 5-0. I am playing on another pc at my parents house and do not have the demos. I personally have no idea about if I even have the 2nd half of it, which if I do is probably a few rounds due to me restarting due to alt tabbing and messing up my graphics. I do not remember if I restarted Log of IRC conversation between Csikos and Dickens. Devastation `sasquatcH> were you serious The screenshot provided by Csikos can be seen by clicking here No comment from Warden. GotFrag contacted Matt “Warden” Dickens for a comment but he was not willing to go on record about the incident. GotFrag was unable to contact Complexity General Manager Jason Lake or an official from the CGS for comment on the developing story at the time of this writing. CEVO should have an official statement Friday concerning the match and playoff teams. Stay tuned to GotFrag for further developments in this developing controversy and an official ruling from CEVO on the match as playoffs are scheduled to begin Saturday for CEVO Pro CS:S Season 5.
