Steven "Sasquatch" Csikos makes claim of an alleged attempt at match fixing by Complexity's Matt "Warden" Dickens. The match begun and was played through the first half and five rounds into the second when the match was paused due to internet connection problems for Complexity. Devastation was leading the match 8-6. Complexity claimed to being packeted and a ruling was made to continue the match Thursday night. CEVO admins reconvened Thursday evening to make a ruling on starting money for the match and get the match played out. During the investigation of start money, it was revealed that Csikos could not produce a demo from the cut-short second half of the match. Csikos has been given the official 24 hours to produce the demo before an official announcement is made by CEVO. However, the case appears to be open and shut. Rule is: No demo, you forfeit. Before this realization was made however, Csikos claims that Dickens offered him a deal to let Complexity pass through to playoffs by way of Devastation forfeiting and Complexity would split championship earnings with Devastation. Csikos has given a statement to GotFrag about the incident and has provided a screenshot of the IRC conversation discussing the alleged deal. Sasquatch's statement to GotFrag. I logged on tonight at 7 to play our final rounds of the match. I did not believe my money would be in question due to us up 5-0. I am playing on another pc at my parents house and do not have the demos. I personally have no idea about if I even have the 2nd half of it, which if I do is probably a few rounds due to me restarting due to alt tabbing and messing up my graphics. I do not remember if I restarted Log of IRC conversation between Csikos and Dickens. Devastation `sasquatcH> were you serious The screenshot provided by Csikos can be seen by clicking here No comment from Warden. GotFrag contacted Matt “Warden” Dickens for a comment but he was not willing to go on record about the incident. GotFrag was unable to contact Complexity General Manager Jason Lake or an official from the CGS for comment on the developing story at the time of this writing. CEVO should have an official statement Friday concerning the match and playoff teams. Stay tuned to GotFrag for further developments in this developing controversy and an official ruling from CEVO on the match as playoffs are scheduled to begin Saturday for CEVO Pro CS:S Season 5.

Im gunna give coL the benifit of the doubt though
devastation would get murdered.
and if he didn't have demos, then whatever, FFL for him.
APPARENTLY NOT THURSDAY PZ
it is a great possibility coL was getting packeted...
BECAUSE OF THIS
One day in IRC #rambo, rambo came in and his IP address was showing for about an hour before i PMed him and told him that it was showing.
Then he reconnected to IRC and it was fixed, just a little perform bug i guess.
During that hour someone from #complexity could have gotten the IP address and packeted them during the match.
I was basing my comments on the skill and teamwork of the team not just because they're my favourite.. because they're not. Obviously teams have bad days and ect but I think normally coL would sit Devastation and most people would agree..
Egg on your face
*i wouldn't pin this entirely on warden either, i would be very surprised if this wasn't a whole team decision, warden just made the pm
he seems to be willing to comment in this thread though:

sounds like a pretty crappy denial tbh.
Either way, I imagine complexity will call "photoshopped evidence by Devestation because they were desperate for a win and knew they couldn't beat coL if coL wasn't being packeted", and the CEVO admins will say "hmmm, no definitive proof either way so we'll ignore that dispute and forfeit Dev for lack of demos".
Whether that is the case or not.
oh and
lol @ the gotfragger who wrote his article about poker "corrupting" gaming. you sir are an idiot, whether you're an idealist or a hypocrite.

A convo with warden to screenshot the header and all the other info, then a conversation in a private channel with someone aliased as warden to get the incriminating logs. Then you could just use Paint to make incriminating evidence that Warden is a match fixer!
Sounds like a good idea...
And of all things, why would they make up a bribery screenshot, doesn't that seem a bit far fetched and absurd?
Although I agree, for devastation to fabricate a screenshot seems unlikely.
And like you said it, it isn't really all that much money for them. So why not part with half of it to have a chance at the playoffs which they should have made, and should win. At least they should in theory; the supposed top 1.6 team switches to source, and a year later cant make the playoffs?
Id bet that is worth $2500
"At the end of the day they hurt themselves and posting that ss on public forums really does show how immature they are."
Because in reality it was a real "dick" move on dev's part, when it was a wink wink, nudge nudge offer. A gentleman's offer so to speak. And since thanks to the demo issue, dev was out either way, what did they have to lose by publishing it?
Could coL have lagged themselves in a desperate attempt to force a rematch?
my tin foil hat is tightly secured.
Text lines get off center after a little, but I just did one big text window instead of each line at a time, it took me under 3 minutes in ms-paint, 10 tops if i did each line individually and made sure the spacing was perfect.
An extended whois of Warden in the screenshot would have provided definitive proof.

Try replicating the same text with close names (names with same amount of characters) and see what results you come up with. Characters can easily be offset via ms paint distortion. --> .bmp to .jpeg or even just saving a .bmp.
Even better, people are now taking sasquatch's side when it comes to CEVO's decision on the missing demo. It's quite clear that no demo equals a forfeit.
I see it going either way:
1. coL really tried to make the deal (and would actually make the suggestion on irc).
2. Sasquatch got pissed off 'cause of the admin's decision and made the whole thing up.
where's the rest of the mirc conversations? what happened on vent? was this the first solution proposed by coL?
why should coL accept to start with no money after losing so many rounds only due to lags? after being up on the scoreboard couldnt dev grow a pair and just give them 5k each?
they got what they deserved with the demos imo and i dont see how posting a screenshot on a public forum is going to help anybody...
