CEVO has reported that they have received an official match dispute in the San Francisco OPTX versus Dallas Venom CEVO Pro CS:Source Season 5 Championship. UPDATE: CEVO Administrators have informed GotFrag as of 3:50am CST, Optx General Manager Kat Hunter has cancelled the dispute in the CEVO Pro Season 5 Championship. CEVO's Chris Pipher, Director of Gaming Operations, gave this official statement concerning the dispute. Yes, I can confirm that the San Francisco OPTX have submitted a dispute against the Dallas Venom during the 3rd map of the CEVO-P Finals. The match is currently under review. You can expect a ruling in the next 12-24 hours. While the official statement from CEVO does not indicate specifically what the dispute is concerning, all indications are the dispute is over Dallas Venom throwing a smoke grenade that blocked the squeaky door from being able to open in the 8th round of the 2nd half on de_nuke. The video at the bottom of the page shows what is suspected to be the incident in question. The official CEVO rule regarding map exploits. 23.10 Game Map Exploits The rule is open to admin interpretation. If it was determined that an exploit was performed intentionally, the result could be a reversal or replaying of that specific round as well as further reversing of rounds following the one in question. The San Francisco OPTX had no comment when contacted about the dispute. When reached for comment, Alex "Jax" Conroy, General Manager of the Dallas Venom had nothing to say on the situation but was quick to focus on the positive. "I just want to congratulate my guys on a well played and hard earned CEVO championship. It was a very competitive season and they worked extremely hard to overcome a roster change and close it out", stated Conroy.

i would of done the same...

GG to venom.
Detective Sarcasm has filed case on post #18 in this thread.
23.10 Game Map Exploits
It is illegal to use a map glitch/exploit for one's advantage when it was not in the original intent of the game or mapmaker.
first of all how do you know if valve didnt make it on purpose, after all the smoke grenade is something solid.
second point: many people throw smokes there, maybe the smoke fell right in the position where it doesnt let the door open< correction the door did open, it just didnt open completely, warmachine couldve still throwed the flash if he didnt back up once he opened it.
and last the more important: dominator reloaded his weapon and went onto the hut before the door got opened by warmachine, i doubt his flash wouldve done anything to dominator since he just wouldve looked at the wall and not be flashed. What really couldve flashed dominator was his own flash.
it's just sauce.
cylinders roll btw
dont be foolish now , wm couldnt of got a flash out that door.
intentional or not its a very expensive bug
he threw the smoke to block the view if Ts rush squeaky.
few seconds later, the door open and he throws a flashbang, but the door closes right away and rebounded on his side instead. he actually probably flashed his teammates.
he didn't know it would close.
and seriously, disputing on finals because you lost is just really un-sportsmanship more than anything.
edit:
its obviously the fact that source sucks too.
For those saying Source is buggy, have you even PLAYED 1.6? Ever heard of the Flash bug on nuke in ramp room? Ever heard about defusing through walls? or what about shooting through the ground...
i knew this happened b4
difference between PH.AM smoking the door and venom smoking the door when we were trying to do an upper strat.
YAy And its offical The Cevo Admins never follow by there own Rules.
