Counter-Strike Source: CGS 2008 CS:S Region 1 Combine Melee

The Championship Gaming Series 2008 Region 1 Combine is underway, and GotFrag has all the latest on the Counter-Strike: Source Tournament
Austin, TX - This weekend at the South by Southwest Music Festival, the Championship Gaming Series is holding its Second Combine and Draft for Region 1. With the announcement of Franchise and Protected Players for each of the CGS Franchise, every available roster spot is being rabidly fought over. In addition to the 6 Franchise CSS Teams competing, there are CEVO-Professional teams such as Pandemic, Nexus Gaming, and the newly minted Check-Six (formerly Devastation). In addition, three of the top teams from the CGS North American Online Qualifiers, as well as experimental squad Team XFX are in attendance, hoping to impress the 6 General Managers and garner themselves a spot on a franchise for the second CGS regular season.
