At the start of May, the forums were lit up by the prospect of Marcus “zet” Sundstrom returning to Sweden and Counter-Strike 1.6 … in 2009 when his CGS contract expired. He described his future plans on fragbite.

"I will come home when I have stopped playing CGS. If there is some team that wants me then, you will all see me play 1.6 again"

However, in an interesting change of events this will be happening much sooner as Sundstrom has been removed from the Complexity Source squad. Sundstrom made waves when at the start of 2007 he replaced Justin “Sunman” Summy after leaving the disintegrating Ninjas in Pyjamas 2006 lineup. Then not much later, compLexity joined the Championship Gaming Series with Team 3D as their first two of six franchises.

According to Jason “1” Lake, the general manager of compLexity, the move was made because he felt the team would be happier and play better.

“This was totally my decision, and a very difficult one to make,” said Lake. “I'll miss that crazy Swede dearly, but compLexity is about winning, and that's what I intend to do.”

Ronald “Rambo” Kim, the team leader of compLexity’s CS:Source team, only had good things to say about his now former teammate.

“After playing over a year with Marcus, I can honestly say he is one of the most skilled players in the world,” said Kim. “We accomplished total victory together, winning every event we attended. It is a sad time to see Marcus depart, but where ever he goes, I'm sure he will be able to elevate any team’s play... like he did for ours.”



zet at the CGS Season Two Combine with compLexity
As of right now there is no word on what, if any, plans Sundstrom has after compLexity.

In Sundstrom’s place steps the veteran player Corey “kaM” Hanes. Hanes played for the Venom last CGS season but was not redrafted. In addition to his membership in the Venom, Hanes played for the three time third place CPL finisher Rival.

Kim is confident that the lineup change will not affect compLexity’s winning ways.

“I feel like with any fifth we can still be successful,” said Kim. “Obviously it will be very hard to fill the skill shoes of Marcus, but Corey brings a vast amount of experience to the table.”

Hanes steps into the number one North American Counter-Strike: Source team, but last season’s fifth place CGS squad. Hanes for his part is excited about the roster move.

“It feels really nice to be back in the league and to be playing with the best CGS source team,” said Hanes. “(It is) Great to be playing with such high level skill, knowledge, teamwork, and most important experience, it makes (it) much more comfortable in-game. But for now, I can't wait to start playing with the team and for the season to start rolling down in LA!

When asked to sum up this whole roster move Jason Lake classified it as a win-win situation.

“Marcus is a world class player who deserves to be happy,” said Lake. “ He is now and always will be a member of the compLexity Family. We greatly appreciate his contributions to our organization while looking at the same time to a very bright future with Corey Hanes. God and life tend to work out the right way for good people, and I think this is a major win/win/win for all involved.”

This leaves compLexity with the following lineup:
