In early May, 4Kings revealed that their Finnish CS:Source team would be leaving the organization, primarily due to problems with activity. Now, 4Kings has unveiled their new line-up, composed entirely of top-level Swedish players. The line-up came together after the CGS UK & European 2008 Combine, when the players contacted one another to discuss their options.

Among the new players are Fredrik “vizzion” Nilsson and Jonas “nordQvist” Nordqvist, two former CGS players who were dropped from their franchises at the 2008 Draft last weekend. In addition, Christofer "Helblinde" Nilsson and Daniel "giftig" Ivarsson both have experience in Team Eyeballers and Reason Gaming, while Martin “tyron” Jeppsson has played for Dignitas and Volt-Gaming.

Over on the 4Kings website, manager Ian "Javax" Leckey appeared enthusiastic about the acquisition:

"When first hearing about this formulated line-up I was instantly excited. After talking to giftig for a while, I was reassured that this team had both the potential, and the motivation to reach the very top. I'm very eager now to see the team in action, and we'll all have the chance to do just that at the Dreamhack CS:S tournament this year, which will be the team's first offline event under the Packard Bell 4Kings name. With both the proximity of the players to each other and their experience playing the game, I'm confident they won't disappoint. Expect more 4Kings team announcements in the coming days."

In addition, new player Christofer "Helblinde" Nilsson released the following statement:

"These last couple of days have been very hectic for us, and there's a good reason for that. Before the CGS Combine, I didn't really know what would happen (who would be drafted etc) But back in my mind I had the feeling that something interesting would happen at the combine (and it sure did)

When I knew that giftig and nordQvist didn't get drafted I talked a bit to tyron and vizzion about it, and we decided to talk to giftig and nordQvist when they came home a day later. When they came home it seemed like they had the same idea as us, so after a short talk we agreed to form a new team. All members in our team lives really close to each other, so we are able to boot camp every week if needed. This, and the fact that we are now playing under the 4kings organisation gives us a perfect start.

We are very happy to join 4kings and play under their flag. They have always been a solid organization with good teams/players and this will motivate us to practice harder and perform better."
