Tonight gives four teams a fresh start, the previous season's events mean nothing now that the top teams from the second season of the CGS find themselves in the North American Regional playoffs.

The top seeded New York 3D have had an impressive year, with a 10 and 2 record, they have seen themselves transform from the average team they were last season, to the league superpower that they are now.

Following close behind and nipping at their heels is a re-energized Dallas Venom. This franchise has not one but two flagships in the form of a nine win streak Source squad and Manny the Uncanny, otherwise known as Master.

Third seed went to the San Francisco OPTX, while not the most impressive squad in the league, they have managed to be consistent throughout the season and are certainly no underdogs.

Bottom seed goes to the fallen from grace Carolina Core. A disastrous late season five loss streak has this team out for blood in the playoffs. This will be their final chance to return to their former condition.



2008 has been a banner year for the 3D.NY franchise. The team has seen their match record soar from last season's weak numbers to the current 10-2 wake they leave behind them in Season 2.

Much can be credited to the performance of the 3D.NY Source team that early in the year had a dramatic run, scooping up victories for a strong start. They finish the regular season with a 8-4 record, just one game shy of tying league leaders the Dallas Venom who sit comfortably with nine wins.

3D's second shining star has been their Forza squad. They lead the entire league with fifty points for their team, edging out the Chimera as well as the Core who boast identical 8-4 records themselves, but fail to top in the total points category. The duo of Comebackdan and Dark-Storm have certainly proved themselves to have a formidable teamwork ethic, something that shows itself in the lengthy practice sessions the two have regularly.

New York's Wizakor has proven himself to be a temple of mediocrity with his 6-6 record, neither providing a weak link to the 3D chain, nor contributing much towards it. His single point wins are unarguably valuable during very close match-ups however.

In the DOA department, New York sees its greatest vulnerability. BlackMamba, 3D's male competitor, has a staggeringly painful 2-10 record. The worst part about it is that he usually isn't even that close when he loses. Providing a cumulative score of 33 points toward his team wins, this meager figure pales in contrast to the 57 point behemoth of Master, the leagues DOA(M) poster boy.
