Counter-Strike Source: Venom win 2008 CGS Individual Finals

The 2008 season of the CGS is winding down as the best individual teams and players from each game face off.

The individual finals for 2008 CGS season gets underway today with the best CS:Source teams in the CGS. After a remarkable turnaround from season 1, the Dallas Venom were the best CS:Source team of the second season and now represent Region 1 in the individual finals. Dallas takes on the Rio Sinistro and the Sydney Underground take on the Birmingham Salvo.

#21 They also got stomped on last year in the season 1 event, with mostly the same line-up. It's no big surprise.

Season 2 LineUp: Zid, Brawwrski, Mustang, Sunman, Dominator. (There's only 2 from the original lineup...)

lol, you guys must understand that here in Brazil there are no professional teams like in USA, so RIO can't practice like venom...They have the chance to play with this top team only in CGS... it's hard for them to practice with "noobs" and compete with professionals..

#27 agreed, sad to see no other big tournaments for source. I can see them playing major 1.6 tournaments under the rio name like kinda what coL is doing. Which would be a good thing bc it would be such a waste of talent to just sit all year long with nothing to play for.

#27 Yeah, that makes sense. I think the CGS should combine the Region 1 and Region 2 leagues (have the Furia and Sinistro compete in the same regular season schedule as the American teams).

#24 Well it's funny then that the same "randoms" always seem to win, and the same losers always seem to lose, particularly in this case (Sinistro/MiBR).

They finally changed that Venom-Sinistro score on the cgs site, I wonder if they'll ever fix it here.

#25, why would #24 want to play source? He obviously prefers 1.6, but unfortunately can't make a name for himself. At some point, you just gotta feel sorry for some people.
