TNWA has released more information on their Eurokrieg brand, a new tournament series set to become one of Europe’s most competitive.
'Eurokrieg', literally meaning European War, is a new Counter-Strike: Source tournament series from The New World Assembly Group. It will take place twice a year from now on, with the inaugural event beginning on August 17th. Each Eurokrieg event will last around one and a half months, and the eventual winners of the first event will walk away with the entire prize purse of €5,000 ($7,921).

The inaugural tournament will begin with eight groups of eight teams, with the top two teams from each group progressing to the double elimination stage. Each group will be specific to a particular region or country within Europe, as shown below:

GROUP 1 - Finland & Sweden
GROUP 2 - Norway & Denmark
GROUP 3 - France
GROUP 4 - Germany
GROUP 5 - Belgium & Netherlands
GROUP 6 - Eastern Europe & Italy
GROUP 7 - Spain & Portugal
