GotFrag takes a look at the teams competing in the CEVO CS:Source Season 6 Playoffs.

(GotFrag) - Season 6 of CEVO Professional CS:Source comes to an exciting end this weekend as the top 6 teams from the regular season face of in a double elimination Championship Finals. The Zomblerz take the number one seed coming into the playoffs and are the first team GotFrag looks at in this team preview.

United States zomblerz

United States Trevor "p0s" Randolph
United States Ryan "pham" Pham
Canada Benedict "STRuK" Kaminski
United States Andres "misty" Gunaratne
United States Justin "heatwave" Mckay

The zomblerz are coming into this season's playoffs as the team to beat. With heatwave, misty, and STRuK all coming from last season's number one seeded Guardians team, they are certainly no strangers to this position. Pham and p0s were both released from the San Francisco OptX, and have been out to prove that that was a mistake on Kat Hunter's part all season long. They've also been rotating classified in and out after he was cut from the Dallas Venom mid-season.

The team was on fire all season long, only losing three matches by a total of nine rounds. They have a truly all-star lineup of players who absolutely deserve to be playing in the CGS, including heatwave who is probably the best rifle in the game.

Strengths: From top to bottom, this team is full of talent. Their individual skill can win matches alone, and when they start playing as a team it just gets plain scary.

Weaknesses: The team is known for having huge egos. If they start losing stupid rounds, they just may self-destruct which may be the only way to stop them at this point.

Prediction: First. Having defeated all of the teams during the regular season rather convincingly, it would be silly to not predict them to win it all.

United States '94 Knicks

United States Gary "Funshine" Laurita
United States Grant "Griff" Hall
United States Rich "sauce" Cannon
United States Cory "badapples" Branagan
United States Derek "exodus" Heidinger

The '94 Knicks is another one of those rosters formed from the ashes of the CGS Season 2 draft. Griff and badapples were both left in the dust when their teammates were drafted into different CGS teams, while exodus was cut from the Dallas Venom roster. They joined up with Funshine and sauce from the old Devastation squad for the sole purpose of playing this season of CEVO-P.

Their inexperience as a team showed during the start of the season as they lost three of their first four matches. They turned it around towards the second half of the season though, winning eight straight matches on their way to the number two seed.

Strengths: Momentum. They're the hottest team in CEVO-P right now and have the chance to ride the wave all the way to a championship.

Weaknesses: Nuke. Having come up winless on this map during the season, losing to teams they'll be playing this weekend, it seems as though they'll need to fix some holes on this map if they want to place first.

Prediction: Third. They have the talent to take it all, but I see them falling to the zomblerz as well as the similarly red-hot Venom.

United States Dallas Venom

United States David "zid" Chin
United States Josh "Dominator" Sievers
United States Eric "brawwr" Neer
United States Justin "sunman" Summy
United States Kyle "Mustang" Cummings

The Venom are one of the two CGS teams who decided to play this season of CEVO, they also happen to be the defending champions. The team picked up brawwr, Mustang, and classified during the CGS Season 2 draft, but shortly before the season began they cut classified in favor of sunman.

Being a CGS contracted team really puts added pressure on the players to outperform the rest of the competition. They were expected to be in a league above the rest of the teams, but that's not exactly how it played out, taking the fourth seed. They did do exceptionally well in the CGS, taking first in the individual finals.

Strengths: All of their players are very experienced individual players, and know what it takes to win a championship both online and on LAN.

Weaknesses: The Venom have lost both of their matches this season to the zomblerz and will have to overcome that hurdle if they wish to take it all.

Prediction: Second. I see them getting to the Grand Final against the zomblerz, but falling short in the best of three.

i really dont see chemistry as a weakness for zomblerz, they called strats on the fly this season, which takes for a lot of communication and teamwork.

couple things:

- I didnt know misty was on the guardians roster last season O.o

- deppy an upcoming top player??? take a look at the old EFG roster lol hes been around a little while now

- and finally, not to say zomblerz isnt the sh*t and an amazing team, but honestly core and venom were paying from california with terrible 100+ ping and weren't trying very hard. I think they will be totally different now that they're home and i think venom might win it again with zomblerz or core in second
