Counter-Strike Source: tr1p leaves Chimera

By: Rob Maher - Published September 28, 2008 at 4:57 PM EDT - Writer Archive
Corey "tr1p" Dodd has stepped down from the Chicago Chimera's starting lineup.
Dodd was one of the original Chimera memebers drafted in Season 1 with Team EG. He was also the only CS:S player that Brian Flander, General Manager, decided not to throw back into the draft pool for Season 2.

He makes it clear that it was his own decision, and it's not a permanent retirement.

"I am not officially 'retiring,' but I am taking some time off to decide whether or not I still have the passion to compete at the highest level."

To take his place, Flander has selected Lloyd "Shaffer" Shaffer from the free agency pool.

"I am excited to move forward with Lloyd Shaffer...He adds to the positive, dedicated, and intelligent presence on the team," states Flander.

Shaffer has played for teams like the Sex Pistols, Eximius, and EFG. He will now be representing the Chimera in the Pro-Am.

The Chimera CS:S roster is as follows:

Canada Matt "Stevenson" Stevenson
Canada Pasha "Lari" Lari
United States Erik "da_bears" Stromberg
United States Albert "hahN" Hahn
United States Lloyd "Shaffer" Shaffer
