Top Russian Counter-Strike: Source team ‘MGC’ has been picked up by the forZe organization.
Earlier today, team forZe announced the acquisition of top Russian Counter-Strike: Source team MGC. MGC have a string of successful placings in the European scene, including a recent 5th-6th place finish at the highly competitive ‘eXperience 2008’ LAN this summer.

This addition of a strong Source team is in keeping with the forZe organizations already formidable 1.6 male and female line-ups.

ForZe CEO Nikita "smb" Bokarev issued an official statement regarding the acquisition:

"We were accurate enough in choosing a Source structure. MGC is a well-known team with a rich history. It has very talented and perspective players who have a huge desire to work and win. From now on these guys will represent forZe at all forthcoming competitions.

Together with the actual game squad we are pleased to welcome [team coach] Kirill Solovev, in cybersports circles more known as ‘Tifon’. He will incur a role of the trainer, whose experience is well known, as he has been an MGC player from the very beginning. The thing remains is to wish a good luck to him. From my part, and from organization overall, we will try to provide worthy support and try to help with all difficulties they meet".

Kirill "Tifon" Solovev, team leader of forZe CS:S, also released a statement:

"I am very glad to join such project as forZe and to work with my team and my friends. For sure it is a step forward for me and guys and we will try to do what our fans are expecting - to win. We have an extensive plans for the forthcoming season and it should be a hard work, but all of us have a clear understanding what is required and we will reach new heights in competitive CSS. I wish to thank the forZe management, especially Nikita Bokarev, for the trust and understanding rendered to us".

Russia Alexander "Limper" Lovkov
Russia Pavel "Alone" Kovalev
Russia Sergei "Iceberg" Sablev
Russia Anton "HuxFlux" Zagumennov
Russia Mihail "Com" Jabrov
