The 7th season of CEVO Source is upon us as we take a look at some of the top teams in CEVO-Pro.
The seventh season of CEVO Professional Counter-Strike Source is upon us and features a return of some of the top names in the game as well as a cadre of new teams to the field.

Kicking off officially on Oct. 23rd, this season promises to be one of the most exciting yet. With that start date looming on the horizon, GotFrag invites you to take a look at some of the competitors and decide for yourself just who might be the champions this time around.

Dallas Venom

United States David "zid" Chin
United States Kyle "Mustang" Cummings
United States Justin "sunman" Summy
United States Eric "brawwr" Neer
United States Josh "Dominator" Sievers

The Dallas Venom are rolling into the seventh season of CEVO as the team to beat. Spearheaded by the mind of David "zid" Chin and the awp of Eric "brawwr" Neer this team has won every important CS:S event in 2008. They lead their franchise to the CGS World Finals, and took home the CS:S Individual champions for themselves.

All the while they were playing in CEVO-P Season 6. While they had a little bit of a shaky season, only grabbing the third seed, they turned it up during the playoffs to grab the title over the Carolina Core. This win gave them back-to-back CEVO-P championships.

Recent Accomplishments:
CEVO-P Season 5 Champions
CEVO-P Season 6 Champions
CGS Individual CS:S World Champions

New York 3D

United States Mikey "method" So
United States Kyle "Ksharp" Miller
United States Salvatore "Volcano" Garozzo
United States Nick "nickn0it" Nowakowski
United States Jon "juan" Mumm

After under-performing heavily in the first season of the CGS, as well as CEVO-P Season 5, 3D.NY decided to make a couple of roster changes. They removed Jimmy "LiN" Lin and Andy "rECTOOOOOOOOR" Rector, and drafted Nick "nickn0it" Nowakowski and Jon "juan" Mumm from Pandemic.

The new "source" blood lit a fire under the team and they got off to a great start in season 2, only falling just short of the Dallas Venom. If the team can keep up that kind of top performance, they'll be one of the teams you can expect in the finals.

Recent Accomplishments:
2nd place CGS American Regional Season 2

compLexity LA

United States Matt "Warden" Dickens
United States Corey "kaM" Hanes
United States Ron "Rambo" Kim
United States Danny "fRoD" Montaner
United States Tyler "Storm" Wood

When the LA compLexity first switched over to source, they were the undisputed best team in the world. They cruised through the first CGS season, being the only hope for their franchise, and won the Individual World Final. However, during the second season, they replaced Marcus "zet" Sundstrom with Corey "kaM" Hanes, and they just haven't looked the same. They finished a respectable third, but after there previous dominant performances that just doesn't seem good enough. During the off-season they played CEVO 1.6.

They got off to a slow start, but really picked it up toward the end, finding themselves in a best-of-three final with MoB. They lost in two straight maps, but it was a great showing. Now they're back to CS:S and it will be interesting to see how they re-adjust to the game.

Recent Accomplishments:
6th place CGS American Regional Season 2
2nd place CEVO-P 1.6 Season 9
