The season kick off with the eight top teams going head to head! Heather "sapphiRe" Mumm will be our predictor for this season. ESEA-I S3 - Week 1:1Absolution v Mika Gaming
sapphiRe: One of the most anticipated matches of Week 1:1 is between Absolution and Mika Gaming. While the team names aren't familiar, almost anyone should recognize the rosters and fans are excited to see these players back in action. Absolution features such players as sasquatcH and ChEekz, while fan-favorite Mika Gaming includes a plethora of former CGS stars: clowN, Grt, mOE, Mustang, Rambo and Warmach1ne. Also joining the team is ridic, an awping powerhouse. Individually, Mika Gaming has the fraggers to take this first win, though I'd expect with the leadership of sasquatcH, Absolution will be well-prepared as a team. Dynamic v stormakt
sapphiRe: While the former match-up was between many “old school” players, Team Dynamic and stormakt are some of the newer faces to join the upper ranks of CS:S. Both team's were extremely successful in Season Two, each achieving a top eight finish in the playoffs. For Week 1:1, these two teams already faced off on de_dust2, with Dynamic coming out victorious in a 16-4 win. After the loss, stormakt added shaffeR to their roster which should give them some much needed experience from a veteran player as well as an additional awp to complement Prec1sioN. CyberRev v KBS
sapphiRe: Last season, Cyber Revolution changed their team name to KEYBOARD SMASHERS mid-season and went on to finish the regular season at 7-1. After being knocked out in round two of the playoffs, Chewbacca and DaZeD left the team to remake Cyber Revolution with p0s, xperience and frozt. What was once one team is now split into two, turning this Week 1:1 match-up into a bit of a rivalry. KBS took a big hit by losing a great in-game leader and an incredible fragger, but don't forget that this team has players such as Glockateer and Torrr that are still very talented and capable of many wins. X3O v Push
sapphiRe: Lastly for Week 1:1, X3O-css will be taking on Push Gaming CSS in a rematch of the season two finals. In that best of three series X3O, then known as eGe, defeated Push Gaming, who played under the name k2, in two maps including a 16-10 win on de_dust2. Both teams made two roster additions during the off-season. Push Gaming added Forever0 to their line-up. However, the more noteworthy pick-up is on X3O's end as they acquired the infamous nicKn0iT. X3O proved to be the best team last season and by adding nicKn0iT to the mix, I can't imagine anything but positive results. Stay tuned as HLTV info will be posted 15minutes prior to the match. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
