CS:S Invite Power Rankings - Week 4

1.
X3O

There is a clear separation between the number one team in the league and the rest of the pack. At 8-0, with a win over the #2 team in Week 4, X3O is a huge step above the rest of the league. X3O stomped all over Area 51 CSS in their first de_season match of Week 4. The team's defense was nearly flawless, and as usual, their teamwork and communication was excellent. X3O's second match against SitA was far more competitive considering the strength of their opponent, but still, X3O rarely fell behind. Week after week, X3O comes into their matches well-prepared. While it will be difficult to stay undefeated throughout the season, with a win against every Invite team already on their record, X3O is surely capable of doing it again in the second half of the season.

Week 5
5:1 – X3O vs. Eximius Sports
5:2 – X3O vs. Netcode Illuminati

2.
Necode Illuminati

Netcode Illuminati has only finished one of two de_season matches this far. That one win was a 16-11 victory against Team Dynamic. Both teams excelled on offense, leading to the somewhat close score. In the end, it was Netcode's ability to overtake bombsites that won them the match. Every round that Netcode took over the bombsite and planted, the team was effectively held off any bomb defuses from Dynamic. It's interesting to note that caseyfoster- was Netcode's high scorer in that match, as he filled in for DaZeD. Netcode will need to complete a match against Eximius Sports on de_season, though based on their first performance and the way Eximius has been playing, Netcode will likely come out on top.

Week 5
5:1 – Netcode Illuminati vs. Vitriolic
5:2 – Netcode Illuminati vs. X3O

3.
Vitriolic

Vitriolic won a nail-biter in their Week 4:1 match against Area 51. In a match that was far closer than expected, Area 51 toppled Vitriolic's defense in the first half to take a 9-6 lead. Though, Vitriolic returned the favor with their own impressive T-side performance, due in large part to the help of Warmach1ne whom nearly doubled several of his teammates' frag totals. Vitriolic has yet to play their second match against Eximius Sports, a more established team in comparison to Area 51. If Vitriolic can barely beat Area 51, they'll need to make some signficant changes if they want to take down Eximius.

Week 5
5:1 – Vitriolic vs. Netcode Illuminati
5:2 – Forfeit Win

4.
SitA

Number two team, SitA, went head to head with the undefeated X3O for their Week 4:1 match. While SitA put up a good fight, as you'd expect from the #2 team, they fell just short of a victory. SitA didn't have any terribly detrimental mistakes but instead the match was lost because X3O was just better prepared and was on top of their game. SitA is no doubt a talented team that could definitely defeat X3O in the future, but this past week, X3O had the upperhand in the final 16-12 score. With a free win against rSports for Week 4:2, SitA still stands strong with a 5-3 record.

Week 5
5:1 – SitA vs. Area 51 CSS
5:2 – SitA vs. Eximius Sports

5.
Team Dynamic

A free win against rSports and a 16-11 loss to Netcode Illuminati in Week 4 brings Team Dynamic's record to 3-5, good for fifth place in the division standings. Dynamic's CT performance was rather pitiful against Netcode, though they managed to stay in contention with a respectable offensive half. But in the end, Netcode came out on top with a 16-11 win. While their 3-5 record is below average, Dynamic is still very much involved in the playoff race. Dynamic has their best chance of picking up a win in the coming week as they face-off against Area 51 CSS.

Week 5
5:1 – Forfeit Win
5:2 – Team Dynamic vs. Area 51 CSS

6.
Eximius Sports

Eximius Sports has yet to complete either of their Week 4 matches thus far. Eximius will be taking on Vitriolic on Monday night, while date for their match against Netcode Illuminati is unknown. Vitriolic looked rather weak in their first de_season match, but it will still be an uphill battle for Eximius against both opponents. With these two matches yet to be played, in addition to Week 5 matches against X3O and SitA, Eximius will be in a world of hurt if they don't come up with at least one win.

Week 5
5:1 – Eximius Sports vs. X3O
5:2 – Eximius Sports vs. SitA>

7.
Area 51 CSS

Two rosters additions in the previous week did little to help the team earn a victory. While Area 51 CSS did impress with a close, but losing score against Vitriolic on de_season, W's are the only thing statistic that at this point and Area 51 only has one of those in eight matches. Area 51 can throw away any plans to visit Dallas in November, because at this rate, they won't be making the playoffs. Area 51 is actually ranked lower in the standings than rSports NA, a team that has been dead for two weeks. Area 51 has players very capable of winning games. Now they just need to put their talent into action like they almost did in the 16-13 loss to Vitriolic.

Week 5
5:1 – Area 51 CSS vs. SitA
5:2 – Area 51 CSS vs. Team Dynamic
