For what it's worth, I think that if a few intelligent people from the DoD community got together and pushed hard enough, we could start to get more competitve recognition once again at other non-community organized multigaming LANs/Tournaments.
Despite what anyone has said or will say, DoD has managed to survive quite well throughout the years, and there are a lot of people still playing this game compared to some of the other games that came out around the same time period.
You all come on here saying this is a dead game, but keep in mind, if the game was really dead, no one would spend their time speaking such words anyways.
Since we largely use GotFrag as a homebase, maybe a good place to start would be contacting SirScoots and Co. about possibly hosting a DoD tournament as a side event to their recently announced CS 1.6 Revival Tournament... Can't say it's not possible unless we try ;]
DoD isn't as dead as wc3
Watch their faces as they try to locate the fans LOL.

Just wanted to throw that out there.
This was played at noon on a Thursday, hence why there wasn't much of a crowd. Warcraft 3 easily had the most spectators at WCG.
