DOD is our beloved game. It's old and decrepit, but we still love it oh so dearly. There are a number of things that are completely necessary to keep our old friend alive, and there is very little breathing room for anything to go wrong. We should have no patience for idiocy and incompetence. Admins are the glue of the DOD competitive community. The glue holding things together currently is weak, and stupid. Admins need to be 100% competent at all times, they need to effectively wade through the B/S and nerdisms, and get the job done right, the first time. Admins of leagues and years past are the reason people are still playing this beloved game. They kept the spice flowing, and kept morale high.
Insane, X-spider, Cypher, profiction These are the kinds of admins you want running your favorite game. Unquestionable integrity, flawless reasoning, dashing good looks, and an intimate understanding of what this community is.
Who in the @#$%& is CEVO|Newell? Can anyone say RANDOM? We did not elect him, we did not ask for him, and here are some reason why we don't want him.
1 CEVO rules, and the underlying themes. Here is one example of why they should be printed out, burned, buried, and forgotten. Rule 5.3 "ALL members MAY USE custom cross hairs and sprites." LOLOLOL WUT? Man, this sure should make playing Harrington easier, you know without any flowers in mid. Sure this is an easy fix, but what does this really tell us about who is running things?
2 The Recent Bracket fiasco I got an idea! Lets make HORRIBLE brackets, and then make a HORRIBLE excuse about being tired. REAL admins, don't make the mistake of retarded brackets, nor do they VOMIT IDIOCY when called out on it. We can do better than this, don't you think?!
3 AFK/Lazy/Useless I tried to join the rosters, while they were unlocked, but was unable to. My Team leader made MULTIPLE attempts at getting the issue resolved before they were locked. I even tried to email the said admin, pleading for help. My calls had been left unanswered. The only Answer I got was from an XBOX admin saying that I should ask the admin in charge, take a wild guess who that is? LOL? Yes.
The Community is just far too fragile for such a horrible admin. Please add more examples why we should do better, and please voice your opinions. If you agree, feel free to sign this petition "agreed"
did you try going to the cevo vent? there's always a few admins in there willing to help, every time i have been in there i have gotten what i needed done done and very quickly to boot.

"All the others CEVO admins know not to touch my rosters."
I asked some CEVO admins to put people on my teams roster, and they wouldn't. They just laughed at state of the DOD division of CEVO. I told them about how the rosters said they were unlocked but they were locked... and they laughed.
Those same CEVO admins are really helpful though if you have CMN clients. They just can't do anything else to help us out because Newell has a strangle hold on the division... I have no idea how he got the job...
He doesn't respond until IRC PMs until like 2AM... even on weekdays.
I'd be an admin... as long as their aren't 50 disputes every week. I don't think it would be very difficult to make brackets, and edit rosters... next season there shouldn't even be brackets if they are going to make it league play not brackets.
Hopefully next season will be better.
Funny how everyone is going to agree with you and nobody will rage on you like they did with me when I complained about the brackets. Everyone seemed to think his lame excuse was acceptable... all it showed was that he didn't care enough and pushed it off until 2AM.

I couldn't schedule week 3 matches because I had a bye that he wouldn't record as an ff win. So I contacted him 2 days before match deadline and got no response. Finally he responded- on match day. And then when the match was added to the scheduler( the day after) and highP agreed to play Sunday night, he sent:

I never heard from him until one day I asked who he was going to pick up as admins while also telling him I was no longer interested. His response: "We have interviews tonight, hope you can make it."
I only heard of such interview because I asked who he was going to hire. I had already made up my mind to not commit after he never got back to me.
On top of that, I've offered to give him tips in getting DoD to run smooth, but his response always consisted of "I am head of this game so it will run well." Very assuring.
