I thought it was really good, however was longer than I expected it to be (didn't look up the running time beforehand). The gun fights were just awesome.
What did you guys think?

I wouldn't say it was REALLY good, it was decent entertainment-wise. Some parts were awkward because the music just stopped instantly when they'd move to the next sequence, but maybe that was the theater's fault. The gun scenes were, admittedly, really well done. The movie stayed true to the time period, which was a plus, but probably wouldn't be a movie I'd recommend over something else like Up or The Hangover.
+Fight scenes +Acting +Christian Bale not doing something you'll think about later
-Very slow. -Music lead you to think you're getting a great intro scene the likes of reservoir dogs; but alas, fail and end quickly. -Not enough Baby Face Nelson -Too much romance.
A entertaining movie regardless. I'd give it a 7.5/10. No glaring plot loopholes or goofs, which is a huge plus these days.
idk if i'd say slow, it just kinda went on a bit longer than it should have. maybe it's just because i've seen nothing but awful movies lately (Hangover excluded) that made me think it was really good?

Pretty good movie. Seemed to run a bit long, but I drank a full large soda so I was hurting towards the end. Gun scenes were great like people said. I'd give it an 8/10.
I looked at my watch way too many times while watching this movie. It was very slow and seemed like it went on forever. There was way too much romance in this movie. Other than that it was a good movie. I would give it a 6 out of 10.
Corey, I wasn't comparing it to any other movie. I was simply saying that if a friend were to ask what movie to watch, this wouldn't really be one of my first suggestions. :D
Fleener from Montreal, my butt hurt 3/4 of the way into the movie. EDIT: aka want to do something about it?
The bar shoot out thing at little Bohemia was shot about 20-30 mins away from where I live. The restaurant has a museum area with all the original bullet holes in the walls and stuff... pretty neat.
ahhh gotcha, my mistake. i agree i would totally recommend The Hangover over this if you HAD to make a choice, but thats just because it was so hilarious!

I liked it a lot. I liked how they stuck with the time era and used music and movies from the time as symbols. the shoot out scenes were great like everyone else mentioned. Acting was pretty spot on too. I wouldn't recommend this to my friends because they don't like movies with plots and would rather see a china man's penis on the big screen.
