I found out yesterday that right now the LAN Centers lease is up and they are trying to figure out if they will be moving to a new location in Lexington or not. They probably won't know until the end of Oct or beginning of November. That would put having the LAN in December even more of a stretch. It seems more likely that a Spring/Summer '10 LAN would be a lot more feasible. I would suggest again, throwing out some dates and getting a head count on this whole thing. Another thought, which I'm not sure how feasible this is. What if we had it on Weekdays? Not sure how many people have actual jobs in the community or whatever, but for people in school, it wouldn't matter as long as school was out. Flights for the most part, are cheaper through the week. Just leave your thoughts, feedback, dates, and so on. I'll check periodically and compile this into a list.
i would assume, this game being how old, and how long most of us played, i would guess that most people have real jobs now! such as myself. I would not be in attendance if we had it on a weekday.
if you find a useless holiday, you could get people to show. Obviously MLK weekend is going to be soon but something along those lines. something that gets people out of work and off of school but no one really celebrates.
Spring break is a good option for weekday events however spring breaks vary between UC's and other colleges so it's really hard to time. I think summer is your best bet.
