I've been seeing a lot of ads lately for Google Chrome and was wondering if anyone here has any thoughts on it, perhaps compared to Firefox?
I remember one of the issues back when it was first released was people complaining about its privacy policy? Is that still an issue? I'm thinking about switching since Firefox increases its memory usage with every update and it's getting quite annoying.
Dude good call. I just checked out this website called google.com and WOW. You type something into this box thing and it looks for webpages based on whatever you type in the box. That's not all though if you misspell a word google actually SUGGESTS the correct word! I don't know when this came out, but man I really think this google thing is going to catch on. If you haven't heard about google.com go check it out RIGHT NOW.
I show up for dates 30 minutes early to see if Chris Hansen walks into the house.
Chrome is over 9000 faster than firefox. you may find the transition difficult if you're used to having a tonne of firefox addons, which chrome does not.
oh and for all you porn addicts(i prefer asian myself!~) they have a non-cookie saving option for explorer, i.e nothing you do is remembered at all except in the area of your brain that has shame.
Why awesome you ask? The place I'm renting was foreclosed by Fannie Mae and it's been 2 months now and they haven't told me to GTFO, so I'm living currently rent free and will be doing so until they give me the 90 day eviction notice (it was previously 30 days in montana{me in a small window in the bottom right hand corner TRL style: WOOO YEAH! THANKS OBAMA!! I LOVE YOU MAN THAT LAW IS AWESOME! OH AND SHOUT OUT TO ALL MY FRIENDS BACK HOME WOOOOOOOOOOOO}). I've talked to the guy that is handling the house and he said he will be trying to get us several $$$ for first/last/deposit to move out once the 90 day eviction notice is issued. It's apparently called "cash for keys" or something.
So summary: Free rent and utilities for the past 2 months, my landlord is poor, I love obama, everything in life should have TRL style windows, I'm doing great.

It's not as if Chrome doesn't have ways to block ads, Shane.. Hell, use the developer channel to have extensions be enabled and there's things you can use to block ads, such as Adsweep.
Andy, install the browser and use it for a little bit to see how you like it. Unless you're heavily dependent on addons of Firefox like FireFTP or ChatZilla, the speed and lower memory usage of Chrome easily makes it a more enjoyable browser.
I used Firefox for a long time, mainly because of the better quality for graphics and the speed/simplicity. ive switched over to google chrome about 3 months ago because its even faster and i feel its even more clean. basically it doesnt get in the way, which is what i want in a browser.
also, the popup blockers that they have on the newest version of chrome are very good, i feel even better than those on firefox. id definitely try it out, ive loved it

They actually got rid of it as soon as it was brought to their attention. I don't even think it lasted 24 hours.
Until chrome gets addblockplus I won't be leaving firefox.
hi shane! how are things?
