This has the potential of being a very close match. Aborted is going to have a hell of a time getting rid of iorio around the middle area. If Aborted can take out iorio and play smart around middle they might have a slight edge here. Jason brittain has been known to destroy long with a stoss and riveroyster throws up impressive numbers wherever he goes. No luck will make it close but aborteds experience will pull it out here.

Mogers Prediction: Aborted by 50-

Aborted has a very solid roster if they come to play. Look for ostolation to completely control middle. Aborted should dominate apartments, but may have some trouble taking down leroy. A strong game from Jackson and Equis could help sway this match for fx, but RiverOyster and Pinecone may have some other plays.

Hiseys Prediction: Aborted by 200-

This match looks to be the second best of the week, and it will be, in
my opinion, the most fun to watch. no Luck (formally
fx/azfire/insertrandomsponsorhere) has been pretty impressive since
their week 4 moveup, while Aborted continues to win matches they
actually show up for. This match is going to come down to who has the
momentum closing out the first half and their ability to carry it
throughout the rest of the match. I’ll give the edge in rifles to nL,
but Aborted gets my nod in every other category. With Prostar in
apartments, capping mid will be extremely difficult for nL, and
Aborted’s ability to flank and communicate effectively will lead to
crucial full caps. iorio could keep this close by holding mid for
extended periods from his loft, but I think Aborted will take it.

ODMs Prediciton: Aborted by 50-

Aborted is considered by some to be one of the top teams in main, and with their 4-2 record they sit in 2nd place in the Atlantic conference. I don't know why, but I feel as though they have yet to reach their full potential, playing a lot of close games against teams I might expect them to win more handily. Perhaps it comes from a lack of scrimming or excessive consumption of mcgriddles. Either way, I think they need to become better to continue to remain near the top of their division. It might be too early to tell about how well no Luck (used to be rise above?) will do, but I don't think they will be too much trouble for Aborted.

Slaughters Prediction: Aborted by 75+

Not a lot to say here. Team helix hasn’t lived up to anyone’s expectations being the only team in main without a win. Look for them to be 0-7 after this week and facing an impressive irawr roster. Jess will easily hold middle both sides of the map while odm and endofone destroy everything else.

Mogers Prediction: irawr by 300+

This match will be cakewalks for irawr especially coming off a close loss. The will be ready to come out to play and absolutely manhandle team helix. jessE "prop" should dominate the sniper battle and norecoil should be able to handle apartments easily.

ODMs Prediciton: GLHF

It's obvious team helix doesn't belong in main, and after coming off a close loss to Los Gueros last week, irawr is going to come out screaming. It's going to be a relentless bloodbath for team helix; they're going to be shot, knifed, spawn camped; basically they're going to be abused like in those prison movies. If possible helix, take a ff loss and try to screw irawr out of playoffs.

Both teams come into this match struggling. Ptm started off the season with three straight wins, and have since gone into a 3 game slump. Mtan started off with two losses came back to win three straight and took a tough loss last week to a strong aborted team. Both teams will come to railroad2 this week with something to prove. With tomodak in the apartments Mtan is going to have their hands full and a hard time capturing the fountain. While stealth is also amazing, headlikeahole is going to give him a run for his money especially with ghandi backing him up. Again whoever can play mid better will pull the victory out on this one. I’m going to have to go with my boys at Ptm to pull this one off, but its going to be close.

Mogers Prediction: Ptm by 25-

Monitor tan is a very underrated team, but their record shows otherwise. Their 3 losses are from other 3 top main teams. PTM will send out their best, but it will not be enough to stop the lacroix brothers with help from Joel Edmunds and FuzzyDemon. Fairly close match

Hiseys Prediction: Mt by 50

A lot of people have the tendency to say mt has been underachieving, and
even that they aren’t living up to their skill. But if you take the time
to look at their losses (JETTY, Aborted, irawr) I’d like to see any team
in main pull three wins out of those teams on those maps. Meanwhile, ptm has lost three in a row and hasn’t exactly shown the same desire to win that they displayed in the match against irawr. I don’t know if it’s
lack of practice or what, but ptm better step it up or they could
quickly find themselves on the playoff bubble. On a map like rr2, the
Lacroix brothers could do tons of damage and put up huge numbers.
Luckily for ptm, they still have lockdown and stealth playing
consistently well. The rest of the team is going to have to really step
it up if they want to beat mt on this map, and I don’t see it happening.

ODMs Prediciton: Mtan by 100-

Probably the closest matchup of the week. Both teams have a relatively equal array of skill on their roster, with the slight edge going to Monitor Tan who have Ghandi. It's going to be a tight battle, back and forth, for most of the game. In the great words of John Madden "Whoever gets the most points is going to win." I think monitor tan will want this more, and come out slightly ahead. MOTW

3h is my favorite to win this match. However, they have been having issues with players being inactive. Matt Rogers and Hvk shouldn't have a problem with taking apartments, but may run into ProneCod along the way. Also look for AnGuish and likwid to put up some big numbers. This should be a very intense match if 3h sends their best.

Hiseys Prediction: 3h by 50-

After handling Sparkles, Super got their wakeup call last week against
JETTY, and losing by more than 50 on donner doesn’t exactly speak
volumes about a team in main. At the same time, 3h seems to be having
trouble getting anything going as well. Three straight losses have
damaged their confidence, but overlooking Super could lead them to a
fourth very quickly. As everyone knows, the key to rr2 is apartments,
and that is where Super could really give 3h some problems. rotcoD could
be looking to rent a place upstairs and prevent 3h from coordinating
crucial mid caps, but Hvk might have other plans and take the match
over. Super > 3h 20-

ODMs Prediciton: 3h by 20-

I don’t see this being much of a match. ARMY gaming is going to control the map axis and allies side. Lampro and Kurcz are not going to have any trouble destroying this careface roster. If careface plays this match perfectly around the fountain they MIGHT make it close.

Mogers Prediction: ARMY by 175+

Army has been very underachieving this season. Despite their record they are still a force. They should have no problem with this match. Lampro and Kurcz should destroy whereever they gay. Also Makhen should completely dominate the sniper battle.

Hiseys Prediction: Army by 100+

I really didn’t expect careface to win last week, but I guess anything
can happen on donner under the right circumstances. Meanwhile, ARMY is just trying to string together consecutive wins. Ping imbalance aside, I
think this is the week ARMY begins its climb up the rankings and helps
secure a playoff spot. Lampro is going to go off this match, and could
easily drop 40+ on either half. If careface wants to keep it close, they
are going to need strong performances from arn and kami.

ODMs Prediciton: Army by 50+

Careface isn't the same team it was last season (wedo's fault) but if they scrim and play the map slow they can win this. The argentinians have yet to really challenge a good main team and make a name for themselves. Careface has struggled thus far but here is a chance to get another win. They'll need to work together really well, but more importantly hit their shots. It can be hard sometimes against 'foreign' teams. If all else fails, bitter will abuse mm1 and throw them off their game.

Players to watch: Mistadobalina : Tito

Slaughters Prediction: Careface by 60-

This match could easily be the MOTW. Both teams are filled with talent and potential. Look for Gordo to ride his juan deere all over the middle and slaughter right behind him.

However, with LG having chuck “strafing” early, and gwolf in the apartments, they might have a slight edge here. Unless wallaby can perform a miracle in apartments I don’t see lg losing them. This will be the key to their victory.

MOTW. Losgueros have been very suprising this season with upsetting wins in big matches. Expect the same here against wallaby even though they are a good online team. Look for big numbers from odd- and gwolf.

Hiseys Prediction: Los by 50+ or Dispute

Hey look, wallaby picked up another CPL dodger!!! If you don’t know who
I’m referring to, that would be zoltan (formally of n2p) who is now
going by just Nick now. I bet these guys love when HLTV enters the
server. And in the blue corner, coming off the most
amazing-yet-unwatched MOTW ever, we have Los Gueros. Luckily for
wallaby, rr2 doesn’t sport a suze window to camp, although
strafe-a-holic sub could give them some headaches in the sniper windows.
If this match was on harrington I’d give it to wallaby, you can’t
straight skill your way to victory on rr2. If wallaby wants to win,
slaughter is going to have to drop 50 a half (and you are going to have
to not play on lg’s server). Look for zi0n to run straight through
bullets like superman and knock off heads uncontrollably through the
apartments and shut down the map.

Both of these teams have been less than impressive this season with 2-4 records. Freshjive recently added LordChambers hoping to turn their season around, however I don’t think that is going to be enough to get them a win this week. Icons of Vanity while struggling this season, could easily turn into one of the better teams in main. I’m not sure what the problem is, but look for them to work on it in this match, and win the majority of their remaining matches as well.

Gotta give it to the frenchies on this one. even though Freshjive has some skill, i believe their team is inactive.

Hiseys Prediction: Vanity by 400+ or FF

I hope I’m not alone in saying I expected a lot more from vanity this
season. A 2-4 record just doesn’t seem to reflect what they are capable
to me. And I know I’m not alone in saying fj is happy they didn’t have
to play through an agonizing donner match last week. With the ff win, fj
hasn’t been able to prove to people that they can compete, and this is
still causing doubts among the people that care to talk about CAL-M DoD.
I’m going to go ahead and predict vanity to win this one, but if they
can’t pull it off then they won’t get anymore odm love. R0b1n3 is going
to rack up the kills sniping mid for vanity, but coalminer and novn are
going to cause some havoc in the apartments.

ODMs Prediciton: Vanity by 30-

Both teams are 2-4 going into this match, so hopefully they are both scrimming and trying to get something going. They need to get as many wins as possible from here on out to have any chance of making playoffs. I think freshjive has more experience than icon, but they've really let themselves go in the last few weeks. Something isn't working, whereas after just playing icon I can say they are a pretty solid team that needs to work on team work just a little more. It's going to be a close one but I think icon is going to come out on top.

Slaughters Prediction: Vanity by 50+

I think this match up is going to be a lot closer than what most people think. Especially since dtH picked up baloo! to heavy for them this week. Baloo and Rasta should have no trouble controlling the apartments. However, lets be honest here. Scott Fleener is pretty amazing. If scott and his rag tag crew of cory price and mitch can get on a roll I don’t think dth will be able to stop them.

Schweiss has this match easily. team scott fleener should dominate whereever he goes. Also washed up players hillbrnr and ab0mb will also have a lot to add.

Hiseys Prediction: Schweiss by 300-

I was all ready to apologize to dtH and give them props, but then they
had to go and use a cal-banned player to beat 0|K last week. They were
scrambling for a new heavy, and they have picked up Balo0 which could be a definite boost. On the other side, sweat was hurting last week from
the loss of scangus and barely pulled out the 2 point victory against
tds. But rr2 is a different map that allows skill to take precedence
over slow, campy nonsense. Don’t get me wrong, in this match there will
definitely be some proning and crouch walking across the map. The return
of in-game leader Platypus gave dtH a boost, and they are going to need
to be coordinated and on point to win this match. I see sweat picked up
a girl, that’s cute. Well if she plays the match, I’ll say that everyone
should be watching amadaiix to give her even more attention (take it
easy I’m just kidding). Even with the addition of Balo0, dtH will still
fall short.

ODMs Prediciton: Schweiss by 50-

Two 3-3 teams go head to head on a map that requires an equal balance of discipline, patience and skill. dth recently won against top main team unreachable, but the map was donner, so who knows how it may have went. schweiss has played well against their opponents of late, winning their last 4. I think they will build on this and bring their A-game to this match.

Thankfully for Unreachable there is no hotel on railroad2. With the skill and experience on the unreachable roster they shouldn’t have any trouble taking out a struggling Team Rage team. Look for epiphany to control the apartments with ease and the rest of his team to follow suit.

Mogers' Prediction: Unreachable by 200-

Due to a dispute and an overturned match, unreachable is now at the top of the main standings again. This match should be a blowout and look for gabe "smellypants, cliche, epiphany" to lead the way.

Hiseys Prediction: Unreachable by 200+

0|K gave me a scare last week losing to dtH, but now that the match has
been overturned, there egos have been re-inflated to previous levels and
they can continue on with only 1 loss. Team Rage, I don’t know if I gave
you guys too much credit or didn’t give SE enough. I guess we will find
out this week when your schedule continues to get harder rather than
easier. With the Alaskin Assassin scubadrew missing in action, 0|K will
hope Kilen shows up this week to play and should take this match, but
rage could keep it interesting if kirill can hold the apartments.

ODMs Prediciton: Unreachable by 100-

Unreachable's 2 losses have come by less than 10 points. This is unacceptable. For a team that scrims as much as they do, they should be undefeated. They know it, and so do I. Needless to say, after falling to dth last week on donner, they are going to express their emotions through gunfire. They have the experience, together and individually, to dominate every area of this map against team rage. They will do precisely. If team rage plays smart, they have to wait until smellypants/epiphany kills 2 or 3 team-mates and then go for middle. Don't be surprised if it happens rage. Look for it!

Slaughters Prediction: Unreachable by 150+

After coming off such a tough loss last week tds is going to come into this match with their trypants on tighter than ever. System Elite however has been on quite a winning streak as of late taking out one of the top teams in main, losgueros. SystemElite needs to stay focused and not go into this match overconfident. If they underestimate this team they could easily get the match swept out from under them. Look for showtime to frustrate tds wherever he may go and for Links to drop bombs. Knubbe should be able to put up some good numbers as well.

Mogers Prediction: SystemElite by 75-

SE has proven a lot this season after beating teams like losgueros and sparkles. Don't expect anything different in this match SE should be able to take tds, but its going to be close. Look for Links to light up the scoreboard.

Hiseys Prediction: SystemElite by 50+

Is GsS taking over SE, or do they just want to fill out 12 roster spots?
Either way, these guys are doing something right. They are riding a
three-game winning streak, and tds looks to be one more stepping stone
to the top of their division. I feel bad for tds, though. Losing by 2
points on donner can really make you want to break your computer
equipment. Hopefully this hasn’t happened, and tds can show up Thursday to give SE trouble. I wouldn’t sleep on them, though. They have some names on their roster that could put up big numbers if they are playing the matches. A 2-4 record suggests otherwise, though. Someone from tds should pm me their starting lineup so I can pretend to be more
knowledgeable for them. Watch for Showtime to pull some ridiculously
random tommy shots (pun intended), and Knubbe could put up enough
numbers to significantly slow SE down.

ODMs Prediciton: SystemElite by 50-

SystemElite is a very different team from what they were at the beginning of the season. Following recent wins over team rage and most impressively los gueros, watch for them to come out fast and hard. tds is no pushover though. They have many solid players who have been playing side by side for many seasons, and this is a very important aspect for any team. I think if they practice enough and can all do their jobs during the game, they can give SystemElite a heck of a run for their money.

Slaughters Prediction: SystemElite by 60+

Nihilist has had a struggling season at 2-4 while JETTY has become one of mains powerhouses with an astonishing 5-1 record. Nihilist has the potential to catch fire with players such as flm and peep, but I think that the depth of JETTY’s roster will be too much for nihilist to handle this week.

Players to watch: Ninjuh : Flm`

Mogers Prediction: Jetty by 150-

This week JETTY looks to extend their win streak to four when they play
NihilisT on rr2. I don’t expect it to be an overwhelming victory, but
JETTY should take this one comfortably. NihilisT took a real gut check
last week in their lost to careface and playing JETTY a week later isn’t
exactly a confidence booster for them. Has anyone noticed how large
NihilisT’s steamids are? Well they aren’t as large as my ego, but that’s
beside the point. Watch for ninjuh to put up big numbers for JETTY, and
teamowner will try to keep NihilisT together during this difficult
match.

ODMs Prediciton: Jetty by 100-

Although Nihilist carries a 2-4 record, all but one of their losses has been by under 55 points. This tells me they have good team work skills, but perhaps not enough individual skill to keep them in the running with some of the stronger main teams. Jetty is definitely one of the strongest teams in main, sporting an impressive 5-1 record over a few other promising cal-main teams. I have yet to scrim them, but their proven team work to date, combined with their highly skilled players like ninjuh, surge and excelsis, I would expect them to give any team a very hard test. Unfortunately for nihilist, this week will be decided by much more than 55 points.
