no Luck
vs.
Jetty
|
Definately MOTW in my opinion. Both of these teams have strong rosters and impressive records coming into this match. With the recent departure of Ninjuh from Jetty, the playing field is a lot more even. This match is going to come down to one person making some amazing shot that leads to a near ace, and a cap out. Look for Buzzbee to hold down the underpass and Iorio to be a thorn in the Jetty factory teams side.
Mogers Prediction: Jetty by 15-
I don’t think there is any question that this is the MOTW, and I will be ordering both teams to play this match at a different time so I can watch it. JETTY continues to rack up win after win, while no Luck is on record saying they haven’t had a challenging match since they played irawr.
Unfortunately for JETTY, ninjuh left for the x6 reform so the rest of the team is going to have to step it up if they want to beat a talented nL team. John and crew should do some damage, but I see Haphazard leading his troops to a very close win.
ODMs Prediciton: nL > JETTY 20-
While looking at both teams' records and rosters, I think this is definitely the MOTW. After dominating lower-tier team nihilist last week, Jetty looks to continue their 4-game winning streak, while no Luck recently dispatched of Aborted and is riding a 3-game winning streak. This match will come down to who wants to play it slower, as it is chemille and it will take a well executed strat and a few killing streaks by both teams to get the much needed caps. I think jetty will control underpass most of the time, while factory will be a back and forth battle. I foresee 2 caps for jetty and 1 for no Luck. jetty-Buzzbee, no Luck-jackson
Slaughters Prediction: JETTY > no Luck by 30+
This week's best match pins JETTY up against noLuck. Jackson will carry noLuck at factory, but Equis' pubestache will be too much weight for him and hopefully he will break his back. Actually, I take that back. He really needs to get back to mowing my lawn, I gave gdogg-_- the week off. JETTY is better on paper, and they are better on lan.
Lowcarbs Prediction: JETTY>noLuck 1023231-1 [don't steal tags]

Preschool Teaparty Massacre
vs.
Careface

|
Not a lot to say here. Careface is going to lose this week. Either by FF or by a lot of points. <3 Alex
Mogers Prediction: PTM by 1 or 150+
Is careface still alive? I’ve heard conflicting reports and seen a few
recruiting threads, so I guess we will find out by the time this week is
over. With their roster getting smaller instead of bigger, a forfeit
isn’t out of the question. At this point, ptm could use an easy win as
well. 4 losses in a row has kirk and his boys hurting, but this week
should brighten their spirits. Even if careface shows up, I see stealth
leading his team to a decisive victory and maybe turning their season
around. ptm > careface 100-
ODMs Prediciton: ptm > careface 100-
Careface is having trouble getting wins. PTM looked good at the start of the season but fell into a slump. Here is their chance for redemption, although chemille isn't a map that teams can rack up a lot of points on unless the team is very, very bad. This isn't the case with careface, but they don't scrim enough to get ahead. PTM will control the map for most of the time, but might have trouble capping more than once or twice. Hi wedo. PTM-untouchable, careface-jBambi
Slaughters Prediction: Preschool Teaparty Massacre > careface by 80+
Careface is just about dead and they are just about awful. Not gonna lie, this match isn't worth predicting. PTM will control this match the entire time and if they want to, could cap out more than any team this week.

Lowcarbs Prediction: PTM>Careface 683-102

Monitor Tan
vs.
Heart Shaped Box

|
Hsb has surprised a lot of teams this season but don't expect Mtan to come into this match unprepared. With the experience that ghandi brings to the table I'm expecting him to hold the factory while his team pushes around him. Hsb might have a slight edge at underpass /pronekey. Mtans rifles however will be strong enough to push factory and flank the hsb heavies. This will be a close match with plenty of near caps by both teams.
Mogers Prediction: Mtan by 35
It goes a little something like this: hsb doesn’t even have a leader on
the cal page so if they somehow win this match they won’t be able to
report a win anyway. Just based on this, mt can do no worse than a
double ff loss. Fortunately for them, ghandi doesn’t like to lose
against teams that are younger than he is. Buchan and crew will give mt
trouble at underpass with their superior heavies, but the Lacroix
brothers will make up the difference and own the factory both halves.
ODMs Prediciton: mt > hsb 30-
Both teams look pretty even on paper. They both have solid rosters, winning records, and a good chance at winning this game. I believe the difference will be at factory, where gHandi will control both sides for long enough to give his underpass team and factory followers a chance to hold their spots and cap out. It's gonna be close though. MOTW runner-up. HSB-kaus, Mtan-gHandi
Slaughters Prediction: Heart-Shaped Box < Monitor Tan by 50-
Heart-Shaped Box hasn't done it in a match yet.

Team 3h
vs.
Team Helix

|
GLHF
Love, Mogers.
If downfall (helix) actually manages to get 6 people on this week, this
match could be a close one. But I know first hand how much of an issue
that could be for these guys, so I see 3h taking this one either by
forfeit or by a decent margin. downfall doesn’t seem to care enough to
scrim or even use the right weapons during matches, so I don’t see this
match being any different.
ODMs Prediciton: 3h > downfall 50-
Once again team helix goes to battle unarmed, and 3h will simply take turns seeing who can get the most kills in a row and cap out. Team helix will prone, scream at each other in In-Game Voice, abuse mm2, and TK effortlessly as their idea of a 'counter-attack'. I need to go to Wal-mart cuz I'm out of toilet paper. 3h-hvk, helix-twkd
Slaughters Prediction: team helix > 3h by 150+
Downfall is coming off a harsh loss to Irawr, and are still without a 6th for CPL. I could go with them but I think I have a foosball tournament that week. With Jeff Kimbro unable to find his lighter, he will do awful. Not that wouldn't anyway. In the end, 3h seems to be a bit more together, so I'll go with them.

ARMY Gaming
vs.
Aborted

|
Both teams come into this match with a 4-3 record and high hopes of leaving 5-3. As always ARMYs opponent will be raging in vent about getting interped all the way across the map. I would definately like someone to record the aborted vent for this match and post it. Jason Brittain has faced this team one to many times and will be looking for vengeance. Lampro as always will put up big numbers. I think aborted however has an advantage at underpass that might lead them to a marginal victory here.
Mogers Prediction: Aborted by 25-
Predicting this match is easier than some may believe at first glance.
But through vigorous research I have determined that instead of
scrimming this week Aborted will spend countless hours on Gotfrag? and
IRC complaining about how unhittable South American players are. This
redirected focus will play right into ARMY’s hand and give them all the
ammunition they need to prove a point to us stupid Americans. While
gloin recovers from all the expended mental energy used to engage in
forum arguments, Lampro and crew will take advantage and I see them
coming out with a very close victory, aided by a ninja cap from KJi.
ODMs Prediciton: ARMY > Aborted 10-
Despite carrying just over a .500 record, ARMY gaming is a strong cal-main team and should not be underestimated. Maps like chemille and donner seem to be favourites for brazilians/argentinians, and they always seem to win. Aborted has an awesome looking roster, but has been lacking something. They just recently lost to no Luck on rr2 by a large margin, surprising many players. They will need to get it together this week and play extra smart if they want to avoid a .500 record. Aborted-Prostar, ARMY-lampro
Slaughters Prediction: Aborted > ARMY Gaming by 35-
I had the privilege of playing against Aborted last night in a scrim. Okay, with Mayo and Gloin's consistent whining, it really isn't a privilege, it's more like torture. They did seem to have great chemistry, and why not when you are all bad together. If they can hit ArmyGaming and Cody doesn't have a heart attack, Aborted will win this one.
Lowcarbs Prediction: Aborted>Armygaming 217-193

Super Clan
vs.
irawrgamers

|
This should be one of the more one sided matches this week. Should be. Look for irawrgamers to come into this match very confident, as they should, and to be slightly surprised by the Super team. Jess should be able to hold factory by himself allowing his team to push through and disrupt re-enforcements to other parts of the map. Supers underpass team is going to have to majorly step it up to have a chance to compete against this team.
Mogers Prediction: irawr by 75+
ODMs Prediciton: GLHF
irawr's 2 losses were very close games and could have gone the other way. They will go about this game like one would a food-eating contest: they will gorge themselves until the clock runs out. They will be all over super clan at every point in the map. I think they will have trouble capping out though as super is probably smart enough to learn the good proning spots at their first flags. Probably. Super-WurM, irawr-prop
Slaughters Prediction: Super Clan < irawrgamers by 55+
I've figured out how Super has won their matches. When I played vs TeamA in the TPG Lower Semis, Suicidal Menace went 5-6, staring through walls the whole time. It wouldn't surprise me if stanley, as good of a banana picker as he is, does the same thing. Jesse "propaganda" Lewellyn, however, stares back.
Lowcarbs Prediction: Irawr>Super 269-136

Wallaby
vs.
Team Disco Stu

|
Again, one of the more one sided matches of the week. Wallaby will have no problems what so ever handling a struggling TDS team. Expect big numbers from slaughter and gordo.
Mogers Prediction: wallaby by 200+
Wallaby proved me wrong last week and absolutely handled los gueros on
railroad2. This week they get a break and should have a much easier time
playing against tds on chemille. With only 2 wins on the season, I’ve
got to think tds believes CAL is out to get them with this matchup. Let
them play against downfall or careface to brighten their spirits! On a
map like chemille I honestly see Wallaby getting a 20 second cap off one
of the initials. If they get the right spawns, they could do a ton of
damage with a quick rush. tds doesn’t have the firepower to keep this
one close, and Wallaby gets by with an easy win.
ODMs Prediciton: Wallaby > tds 200+
GLHF. Let's keep the proning to a minimum.
Slaughters Prediction: Wallaby = teamdiscostu
The only way tds would be good is if DiscO[nline]Stu played for them. Gdogg-_- has had the week off to polish his skills, and jesily is just amaz[Onl]in[e]g.

Team Rage
vs.
Icons of Vanity

|
This match could easily be MOTW as well. I would think this is going to be one of the closest matches of the week, but only time will tell. tR has caff which will be hard to handle in the factory and talon at underpass. If tR can handle Pothead and r0b1n3 with ease they should be able to pull out a victory here. This match is going to go back and forth with each team capping out once. This is going to come down to who holds down factory and underpass longer.
Mogers Prediction: tR by 10
The Frenchies were denied an opportunity to shine on rr2 last week due
to a forfeit win, but this week they can get their feet wet on chemille
against team rage. Team rage is still fighting to get back to .500, but
playing vanity on this map won’t make it easy for them. I’m going to go
out on a limb here and say Ta|on rallies his troops to a close victory,
but if they let me down this week then I will wash my hands clean of
them! Pothead and Greenbudz are going to put up big numbers, but team
rage will be looking for a ninja cap to get one in the win column.
ODMs Prediction: tR > vanity 20-
These teams need as many wins as they can get from here out. They couldn't ask for a bigger test for each other at this point in the season, either. Both are 3-4 and have put up very strong fights against upper-tier cal-main teams, keeping their losses close. It's going to be a close, close game. I would hardly expect a cap out by either team. Icons-thrawn, Rage-caffeineaddict
Slaughters Prediction: Team Rage > Icons of Vanity by 25-
French Canadians vs 2sseplempi. Both these teams have been together for a very long time but both have become very inactive. This one will be an interesting one to watch and is a very hard match to say who will come out on top. I'll go with kirill:D
Lowcarbs Prediction: TeamRage>IoV 219-198

Did That Hurt?
vs.
SystemElite

|
Team DTH is now minus their allstar pickup, their leader, and their cal-suspended ringer. With 3 of their best players down I don't see them posing any threat at all to a SystemElite team that has been on a roll as of late. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Laura will definately outfrag Links with the garand ~ OhDIP.
Mogers Prediction: System[E] by 80+
Platypus has always been nice to me, so I kind of feel sorry for the
guy. But come on, adding anyone from eximus to your roster should be an automatic no-no for any team. If dtH manages to get 6 online for this
match, they will probably end up regretting it. SE continues to string
together victories and playing a depleted dtH team will only add to
that. CAL should really think about putting SE against some proven teams (like JETTY, Aborted, or no Luck) rather than 3 weaker teams in a row. I
predict dtH’s only saving grace to be p1rate if he picks up a bazooka. After scrimming with him, he seems to do a lot of damage with it on this close quarters map. Showtime and crew will overcome anything he throws at them, though, and they will take the victory.
ODMs Prediciton: SE > dtH 50+
DTH has 3 cal-banned players ATM. THis is going to hurt dth since platypus is their best player. While the rest are still pretty good, systemelite has been smart enough to avoid getting their players cal-banned. They have really turned it on lately, and I think this will be their most one-sided match to date. Showtime may say he isn't random, but this isn't the case. DTH-James, SystemElite-laura :O
Slaughters Prediction: Did That Hurt? < SystemElite by 70+
System Elite seems to think they are high and mighty so I'd like to remind them of something. Come to think of it, dtH beat Unreachable :D AMIRITE? dtH has since lost me and compton, so they will take this one easily. <3 Rick/Gabe

Schweisstropfen
vs.
Losgueros

|
With Losgueros losing last week to Wallaby they will come into this match with something to prove. With the recent pick up of Tomojerk I dont think this match is going to be as close as what people expected. Tomo and Gwolf should have no trouble at underpass, and chuck is something to be wreckoned with in factory. For Schweiss to have a chance, lowcarb will have to "do it in a match" and mr. fleener will have to throw up some huge numbers.
Mogers Prediction: lg by 60+
Los gueros took a definite hit last week against Wallaby, and they look
to recover against sweat on Thursday. Even with duality ringing for dtH,
sweat put up a convincing victory on rr2 and they are going to give lg a
lot of trouble. Underpass could be a back and forth battle, but I think
factory will be the key to winning this match for both teams. Both sport
solid rifles, and it will come down to timing grenades and coordinated
peaking to eliminate opposing factory teams. In the end, I see lg
leaving with a hard fought win with neither team getting more than 1
full cap.
ODMs Prediciton: lg > sweat 20-
After losing to wallaby last week, gwolf will be pissed. He will command his elite squad of commandos to enact vicious operations on the schweisstropfen. Los gueros should take this match with relative ease, but their one weakness is acab the arab. His treachory runs deep through the chain of command, and his lack of respect for his elustrious leader gwolf is slowly but surely tearing apart the seams that hold this team together. gwolf will need to hold a pre-game meeting with acab to put him back in his place. If he doesn't, things could get ugly real quick. If all else fails, he will resort to his 2nd in command, theSUB, who will bitch-slap acab like the little girl he is. GUEROS-chuck, schweiss-fleener
Slaughters Prediction: Losgueros > Schweisstropfen by 40+
