CAL Intermediate SVIii Week 9 - Anzio
Carebears vs homies.	carebears, also known as real-lyfe and the break-off members of the old team Synergy, should have no problem playing against homies. But carebears shouldn't underestimate this South American team. After playing homies this season (Week 1), I'd say that they will give carebears quite a struggle. Watch IronCross (carebears) to pick off people with his Rifle and fLaiL (carebears) will do the same going Plaza with his Heavy. But carebears should watch out for CHEVCHENKO (homies) to do some damage and fussa gives carebears's Sniper a challenge. carebears just seems like the better team in this match. GungHoUnit's Prediction: Carebears by 125+ I have to be honest and say I don't really know much about either team. The homies are on a two game win streak, so I'll give it to them. Team Perception vs Zeroethix	This is will be a very interesting match. Team Perception is 3-1-0, while ZeroEthix is repping the 5-1-0 record. Both teams will be of equal strength and skill. Watch CrazyKilla (ze) to pull some nice shots, but mcNee (Perception) to counter back with his tricks, also. As for the heavies, eXept (Perception) and wingman24 (ze) will be going at each other. But watch for eXept to have an upper advantage with his past team experience. This should be a great match, but I'm going to give this to ZeroEthix with their better record. GungHoUnit's Prediction: Zeroethix by ~100 This could be the match of the week. Two fairly seasoned and very evenly matched teams. ZeroEthix is too hot lately, and the win is going to be in their favor by a very slim margin. Vass' Prediction: Zeroethix by ~60 Players to watch: mcnee, except, crazykilla, wingman24
Mx3 vs The Phantom Team	Another United States versus South American match. Mx3 will have a hard time hitting the South American team with the ping imbalance. Watch Panda to consume anything that gets in his way with his trusty Heavy and pHileiN will have a bit of an endeavor against Mx3's Rifle, Faded. Watch Chipmunk to help Faded take out some of TPT's players. This should be an easy match for TPT. GungHoUnit's Prediction: TPT by 200+ Two teams not quite living up to their potential this season. Mx3 comes in with a strong win over P4nz3r last week, while TPT were blown out by remixed and lost a close one to homies. TPT don't want a repeat of the last two weeks, I think they'll want it more and come out on top. Vass' Prediction: TPT by 90+ Players to watch: Panda, philien, faded, chipmunk
remixed vs Good 4 Nothing	G4N has been known to be the underdogs of all the teams. But sorry, they won't be able to get this win. Remixed (from my sources) is a reformed team with CAL-Invite members such as bleargh, dsnipes, and scorch. Watch Chi.NATE and Bob Bobson from G4N to hold their own ground, while r1tter won't have a problem at all against G4N's Rifles. A very bad match for G4N. GungHoUnit's Prediction: Remixed by 300+ Does this one really need a prediction? remixed has been steamrolling teams all season, and as much as I'd like to say different, the same thing's going to happen this week. aimless.dod vs Vindicated	Have fun with some high pingers. jBambi wins this one for Vindicated at 5 and 3. Blackknights's Prediction: Vindicated by 250+ This is a real big game for aimless.dod if they lose this game, chances of going to playoffs are slim to none. So with that in mind they will probably have more heart coming into the game but no were near the talent that vindicated has. Vindicated is coming into this game with 4 ex Cal M/I players. Ex-Punge who is a rifle will dominate bridge while Akiro tears up plaza with his heavy skills. Look at vindicated to rape on this map. Bismal's Prediction: Vindicated by 200+ Players to watch: jBambi
P4nz3R vs Special Air Services	This match is of 2 lower-tier teams in IM going at each other. Both teams have not shown anything special (according to their record) this season. sAs may have a problem with the South American team's registration (i.e . ping), but that shouldn't be a problem. Watch Alka73 to frustrate sAs, while Maddox and ]3lue roughen and make a dent in P4nz3r's routes. As a result, I'm going to have to go with P4nz3r with the win due to them having a full season and won 2 games, while sAs has not won any so far. GungHoUnit's Prediction: Panzer by 25+ To put it bluntly, neither of these teams have lived up to their potential this season. sAs took a humiliating loss to iCON last week, and P4nz3R looked just as bad in their loss to a mediocre Mx3. Neither team has a shot at the playoffs at this point, and should be focusing on improving their team chemistry. sAs is playing with a very experienced lineup, and can hopefully turn things around this week. Vass'Prediction: Sas by ~50 Players to watch: Alka73, Totonita, Maddox, Blue
Llamas on Drugs vs iCON	Many people know of the infamous LoD Kalt public server, while iCON (this season) has gotten some attention ever since their player Governor was banned for cheating. Both teams beat TPT by a small margin (LoD by 14 points and iCON by 17 points), and both teams lost to Something with an A by a significant amount of points (LoD by 114 and iCON by 301). Watch BElow from LoD to dominate the Plaza side, while kS (also from LoD) holds down either the bridge or the plaza with his Sniper. But, that won't be as easy for LoD for billbsod (iCON) will give LoD's Rifles are run for their money. Watch for Gooch (LoD) to help out billbsod when needed. But in the end, I think iCON will come out with the victory in this match. GungHoUnit's Prediction: iCON by ~75 Two middle-of-the-road teams, Llamas on Drugs came up short last week against carebears, while iCON gave sAs a thrashing. Aside from week two, LoD have always managed to keep it close, unfortunately this time it will be a close loss. Vass' Prediction: iCON by 70+ Players to watch: Gooch, billbsod, ks, beLOW
Antivirus vs 606th Firerats	Unfortunately 606th doesn't have the fire power to take this one. Kicken, Yorel and meerkat all have the experience and skill to easily notch a victory in the column. If I was 606th, I'd start chalking up your matches to experience and hope that the match is some really good practice. Blackknight's Prediction: Antivirus by 150+ I can not even begin to state how bad Fire Rats are going to get rolled. With the loss of the only decent player they had they are going to find out soon what type of team you need to be to play in IM. AV has had a little bit of a struggle this season but seem to have anzio as one of their best maps to be played on this season. Watch out for Rish and Dave to work bridge together and destroy anything in their path. While Superscott and Yorel hold down plaza. Aristocracy vs Oldskool	This is the clash of the IM titans. osK strengthened by a completely finalized and CPL bound roster looks to make take this match and go 7 and 2 and separate themselves from the pack. While Aristocracy plans on using solidyed0n and Stev!E0 to lift them to the same 7 and 2 record. This one is extremely close when taking a look at skill levels and it's hard to really claim a real winner, but when it comes down to it, I've personally seen osK struggle on core dod maps like anzio. Team cohesion and momentum is great, but on a map like anzio it's easy to give the nod to players who have been playing it for years. Blackknights's Prediction: Aristocracy by 75+ This match up is bringing together two great teams and is definitely my pick for MOTW. Both teams have amazing rifles with Disco Stu leading osK and Mailman leading Aristocracy. Also, both teams have fairly matched up heavys with Joelz from aristo taking on Action from osK. But unfortunately RoadRunner ranked #4th heavy in the European division will take control of plaza fairly easily. But having roadrunner take plaza will not be enough to stop Mailman and Nugz from taking out bridge team. The final showdown is going to come down between both of these teams snipers. osK.Spartan has a great reaction time but no were near what wiz has. After Wiz screwed over 3h he has become Aristo most prized possession. Bismal's Prediction: Arisocracy by 65 Players to watch: DiscoStu, solidryedon, Wiz, nugZ "Mermaid Man"
No Go vs Nexus	No Go? What was your name before this week? Nexus had alot of high hopes this season going into IM. At 2 and 2, they've barely made a splash in the water but have done a decent job at getting their own feet wet and getting some valuable experience. Look for Jitterbug and icm` to do really well against a team like No Go. Barring name changes, No Go is 5 and 3 and fairing well in IM this season, at least better then Nexus. They've kept it close with powerhouse Aristocracy and lost big to New Friends! Too close to call. Blackknight's Prediction: No Go = Nexus Well this is definitely going to be a real good match and might even contend for my MOTW vs aristo and osk. Nexus has skill and determination for this match they have an amazing heavy crew, which No Go lacks. But watch out for GungHo and BlueRevolver to dominate on bridge. Khoi knows his opponents very well and tries to strategize his game play so that each side of the map is held properly. Snipers are one of the biggest part of this map. They can easily control either bridge or plaza by themselves. Like I stated earlier watch bluerevolver to over take either position really well. New Friends! vs Pantheon	New Friends! is sick. In my honest opinion it's going to be New Friends! and oldsKool in the IM Finals. Pantheon just take this opportunity to see how a combination of good skill and team work very well together. I love you robbyf and marls! Blackknights's Prediction: TEAM by ### Newfriends should have this easily. Watch out for Christman and his stossmachine to tear it up in plaza. Marls and Robby should not have any problem controlling the plaza as they are beasts together <3.On bridge watch out for bitter and benton dropping bombs while Bismal Holds off any caps that pantheon might try to get on bridge Pantheon has a good roster with juggernaut and hermes leading their team in kills but do not have the teamwork and the skill that NewFriends has.
