Day Of Defeat: Enervate becomes MugNMouse

Todo sits down with pie and kazin of MugNMouse's new Day of Defeat team, as well as dex of the MNM organization.

In yet another significant advancement for both the Day of Defeat community and the gaming community as a whole, the Day of Defeat team formerly known as veracity, NaturalSkillz, and most recently Enervate, has become a part of the MugNMouse organization. Less than a week after Team dicE joined up with JaX Money Crew, the Enervate team is following suit with an equally attractive partnership.

The DoD team has had considerable success throughout its existence, beginning with a 3rd place finish in the CAL-M Season 11 after being eliminated by that season's eventual champions. With the team being the first seed entering the playoffs that season, their move-up to CAL-Invite was a no-brainer. Though most teams struggle with the transition, Enervate didn't miss a single beat and continued to improve. They finished their first season in CAL-Invite in third place after being eliminated from the playoffs by the eventual runners-up, That's A Paddlin'.

This past season, Enervate saw that there was room for improvement and wasted no time in eliminating it. A very successful season led them to the CAL-Invite finals that had eluded them in seasons past, where they were eliminated by compLexity in a close match.

Though many questions surround the team regarding its LAN attendance and performance, each of its members was able to attend one of DoD's two most recent LAN events: Northwest LAN and the Intel Summer Championship. At the Northwest LAN, four of Enervate's members led them to a second place finish behind a team consisting of the Intel Summer Championship's first and third place teams, while Ivan "vasily" Cheng and Madison "MissioN" Kamp stood out for That's A Paddlin' at the ISC. Many of the team's members live in western Canada, making LAN attendance very difficult, but this partnership promises to help their chances of attending future events.

Todo was able to get in touch with pie and kazin of MNM's new Day of Defeat team for some questions, and Dex Badgett of the MNM organization was contacted for a statement regarding the addition.
"MugNMouse is proud to announce the addition of a top Day of Defeat team today, formerly known as Enervate, to play as a part of the MugNMouse organization. This team was previously 12-3 in CAL-Invite. Overall it will be a positive influence for the organization as a whole, as it expands the MugNMouse name into another community. This has been an interest of MugNMouse in the last few months, with other additions such as the Condition Zero and DOTA squads. MugNMouse feels it is necessary to expand to a variety of games to broaden the support of each division as one organization. With great respect I, on behalf of the MugNMouse organization would like to welcome Ronald “pie” Li (Leader), Anthony “bogart” Wong, Eric “kazin” Chi, Madison “MissioN” Kamp, Ivan “vasily” Cheng, Clint “ace” Lunde, and last but not least, Jeff “Moriar” Hauenstein to the squad. The team will be competing in CEVO-P and possibly CAL this upcoming season. You can also expect MNM.dod to be at upcoming DoD Lan tournaments in the future. Expect the best from the MNM organization."
