As the Cevo Day of Defeat inaugural season starts, Basic, Bismal, and Gunghounit give a preview of some top teams.
We are proud to announce that the inaugural season of Day of Defeat will proceed as originally intended. The event will feature a total of $5,000 in cash prizes and two skill divisions - Amateur and Professional. The Amateur Division (CEVO-A) will be competing for $1,500 and the Professional Division (CEVO-P) for $3,500. As widely requested and in order to finalize some event details, we will also be extending registration for a few days to Friday, August 25th. Pre-season schedules will be released that weekend for matches to begin that Monday and onward. This change should also help a few more teams register and allow current teams and players to finalize their rosters. Server configs, minor rule updates, crosshair pack, and other items will be released and announced in the coming days. For Day of Defeat specific inquiries, please contact CEVO|Stockson (rstockson@cevolved.com). CEVO Day of Defeat v1.3 events are eight (8) weeks in length and are setup much like the format used for league play. All eight (8) weeks will be played inside your conference barring all conferences have an even number of teams. This schedule may be affected by teams being terminated during the season for the violation of CEVO rules. Upon the completion of the eight (8) week regular season, the top teams of each conference will be invited into the tournament playoffs. The playoff brackets and seedings will be based on the CEVO Overall Performance Rating (OPR) system which is structured as follows: • Matches Won • Head to Head Matches Won • Forfeit Wins • Points For • Points Against • Highest Seeded Teams Will Play The Lowest Seeded Teams. |
