1. Download winRAR if you dont have it
2. Unrar DODC to your \Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods folder
3. Restart steam!!

dod_selerno_rc1 had been included included. The stock maps work but we wanted to save space, so if you wish to play them you'll have to GCFScape them yourself.

ATTENTION SERVER MAKERS
-Linux/unix
-Download http://files.filefront.com/DODCtbz2/;4452..
-Drop it into root directory
-tar xjvf DODC.tbz2
-Edit cfg/server.cfg
-Run using " -game DODC "

-Win32
download http://storefront.steampowered.com/downlo..

(I suggest installing in x:\HLServer) once installed, open cmd

run from the hlserver folder 'hldsupdatetool -command update -game dods -dir .'

Once its down updating:
you'll have c:\HLServer\dod (for the dods files)
and c:\HLserver\hl2
and in the HLServer folder
put the DODC folder

Run srcds.exe and choose Day Of Destruction

USING WITHOUT HALF LIFE 2!

Create shortcut.

Target: "C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 300 -game "c:\program files\valve\steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\do...
^^ change the do..." to dodc"
--if it's installed in /steam only
"C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 300 -game "c:\program files\steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\dodc"

Start In:
"C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam"
--if steam only
"C:\Program Files\Steam"

oh and its a terrible idea to make people do that with the maps, learn how to make an installer that does it automatically

just bite the bullet and make a bigger installer...

...itd be better than making people do something in order for them to play it.

As you can imagine, there are no dedicated servers yet. I have talked to a few people and we'll see what happens, but if someone can put a server up let me know and I'll edit the IP into the first post. If you run around you can have fun with your tight accuracy and pistols :D

I love it, I'd say just remove the iron sights since from my testing in a LAN Server they aren't even needed anymore, and put the carbine in it's own class and give us the K43 :p

Kar seems exactly the same to 1.3, great job.

i say it will be a month before we see more people playing day of destruction than dods

is it just me or is the kar messed up? i spawned and the gun was right in front of my face, covering the crosshair so aiming was worthless. then pressing alt fire zoomed in and brought the kar off the screen, but i had no xhair.

1. Put DODC folder in Sourcemods
2. Restart steam
3. Create Server

all i have are linux dedicated servers, so unless i can get a server up on linux, someone else will have to put up a win32/64 based one somewhere

Horrah! This may just single handedly saved dod, or least given people hope. But why oh why didnt you give us a heads up you were gonna release this? Alot of people left thinking there was no hope, you could have kept then :( who knows if they will come back now...

I get an error trying to join wikid's server, says my steam account is being used on a different computer, changed the password/logged out same thing, Source works fine though.

Something with the mod?

everyone trying to connect to my server the reason given why youre getting dropped is that steam logon is already in use.

no idea? someone else wanna try it?

so let me get this straight:

i have the following directory structure:

gameserver/
gameserver/hl2/
gameserver/dods/
gameserver/DODC/ (i imagine it needs to be uppercased since linux is case sensitive)

place the unrar'd files into DODC and fire this guy up with the `-game dodc` option? does this take into consideration the dedicated server directory structure or the SteamUI/ListenServer directory structure?
