Week 7 Predictions for Cal-Main by David "Davitch" Beland
With only two weeks remaining in the regular season, teams are looking to solidify their playoff positions, while others are battling over the final seed. On a map notorious for ninja caps and close results, this week has the potential for some big upsets.

vs.
            (2-4)                               (2-4)

Although their playoff hopes are still alive (barely), Livin Legends has got to kick their three game losing streak like … yesterday. The good news is that a win this week is definitely possible. Last week was a difficult map, which required high fragging and quick decisions. This week’s Thunder plays more to Legend’s slow and strategy based style. One ninja cap could be the difference, so look for a tight score with a post-season deciding outcome. Vehement Gamers come into the match as a team with nothing to lose. Their win over w0rd last week is the beginning to what vG hopes is a solid winning streak which could catapult them into the final playoff spot. They’ll need help from some other teams, but nothing is impossible. vG’s strong rifle team should control around the tank for the majority of the match, but look for Legend’s heavy team to hold down bunker and throw some snags from the tank house.

Players to watch: Antnerd, layzie, and robby

Prediction: vG >legends - 1 cap

  vs.
            (3-3)                               (1-5)

Handicap finds themselves in an excellent position this week. Sitting only one spot out of the post-season, a match-up against w0rd is a manager’s dream. w0rd has struggled this season, but remains persistent in their role of dream destroyer. Unfortunately for them, their efforts are likely to be of no avail this week as the Handicap squad is more than determined to make up for a couple of close losses earlier in the season. Look for Handicap to completely dominate in both the main tank and bunker areas; however w0rd’s light should be quite the pest in the tank house. That being said, if there is to be one blow-out this week on a tight-scoring map, this should be it.

Players to watch: trainman, money-b, turkish and the return of seaN?

Prediction: hdc >w0rd - 2 caps

vs.
            (5-1)                               (4-2)

Breaking Point Gaming is scheduled an interesting match-up this week. Perhaps as punishment for their two forfeit wins, or perhaps as a test if they end up making the playoffs. They face the number one ranked Enervate Gaming. Breaking is coming off of a strong showing against Legends last week while Enervate is still in shock from their first defeat of the season. This match will feature furious action between the bunker teams while Enervate’s rifles should have a slight advantage as long as they can hold cover. Look for both lights to cause havoc from the tank house with key breaks being the theme of the match. Breaking should come prepared as BattleGear may have awakened the sleeping dragon.

Players to watch: nobodyfamous, mr. Die, eMpty! and a vengeful f0rbes

Prediction: =glhf=

vs.
            (2-0)                               (5-1)

BattleGear will attempt to continue their role as the giant slayer when they look to topple the mighty Mexicans this week. This has definitely got to be considered the match of the week as The Mexicans look to pull into first place, while BG continues to ride the wave of controversy, pleading to be given their wins back from the now dead StreamLine Gaming. Their cries are likely to fall of deaf ears and The Mexicans will no doubt use the distraction to their advantage. The skill level looks dead even on paper with perhaps a slight advantage to The Mexicans in the sniper department. BG is infamous for their ninja ability though, so any fragging power could be nullified in a heartbeat.

Players to watch: nightmare, an “all-knowing” zonozaur, ac!d and dCaf

Prediction: BG >Mexicans - 1 cap
