Maniac takes an in-depth look at all of the teams in CAL-Invite for season 6. Before we begin the next CAL season, let's take a look at all of the CAL-I teams competing in Season 6. These are the teams that are at the top of their game. Some are more seasoned than others, some boast a handful of talent, and others are still trying to find whatever it is they need to keep going. All of the teams in invite are very talented, good teams, that give a lot of hope, hope that this coming invite season will be the best ever. ![]() ![]() BattleGear:Gaming
BattleGear:Gaming has some recognizable faces from previous seasons in CAL-I. In particular, players like ac!D, dCaf, sNake3yes, son1k, and Mordigan have played on pure.Gaming together. That means this team already has some chemistry issues solved from the get-go. With an addition of veNom as a sniper the roster really comes together. BG really stuck it to a lot of teams last season and definitely are a force to be reckoned with. Unfortunately, there will most likely be a cut-off in success that BG will see this season. Each player on this team has some good talent, but it's probably not enough talent to take down teams like Skull, or even the most recent roster of pure.Gaming. Expect BG to go to playoffs, but most likely not any farther than the first round unless they make some serious dedicated efforts. ![]() Check-Six
Check-Six had a lot of trouble last season attaining that much needed chemistry element that every successful team requires. With a season under their belt and no losses in the roster, not to mention a much-needed pick-up of the very impressive, perhaps under-estimated sniper, Flint, things could go in their favor. Their activity as a team has picked up dramatically and their dedication is definitely written in stone this season. Only time will tell if their efforts pay off, but this team could be a potential serious playoff contender to the more seasoned invite teams. ![]() cyberXtreme
cyberX is formerly known as Nomadic Soldiers. cyberX is, as far as this community is concerned, an almost ancient team. The team itself changes minimally each season, and this season is another season of a consistent roster. They are a tight-knit team with some great unity and have cliqued well together, boasting a great auto department with Gibbeh, Gnarsh, and solid0n. Perhaps they don't get as much credit as they deserve, but one thing is for sure - they have made it at least to the semi-finals match every, single, season. Expect this team to do it again, maybe even toppling some of the bigger named teams like pure and Skull. ![]() Deadbolt
Deadbolt is, and will definitely be an under-estimated team in invite this season. This team has some raw talent playing despite not having a big-name roster. As a whole the rifles on this team make their shots, and this will be a key item in taking down teams on rifle-intensive maps. It will be interesting to see how far this team goes, and can be a playoff contender - but the playoffs could really be a challenge for Deadbolt and might end their road trip to the championship early, just like BattleGear. ![]() eMazing Gaming
eMg was a dominant force last season in CAL-Main, expected even to win the title. Unfortunately for them there was a disappointing loss in the finals to Frag Dominant, but that doesn't mean they aren't still able to hit big. It will be interesting to see how this team works out in invite. This team, much like Deadbolt, has some good rifles like Nightmare who can make the shots. This, as well as their long-time playing chemistry, will serve them very well in invite. It's a toss up as to how well eMg will do as far as playoffs, but I wouldn't count this team out at all. No doubt each game this team plays will be a close one to whoever their opponent is.Page:
