Hello , I`ve startet online gaming in 2001/02 I played Quake3 back than with a 56k modem.I couldnt realy play good with a 56k + I had no clue about pc`s back than, so thats why I mainly played Q3 at lans etc... and nowadays I still play it.So I just bough a game called "Half Life" :) . I didnt know what it was so I played single player for a while till I found out Counter-Strike was a mod of it so i startet to download cs wich tooked quiet a while with a 56k.So I finaly got it and startet online gaming with it ,it went quiet well as it worked ok on a 56k.I only had a 800MHZ machine with a onboard graphics card.So I got about 20-30 fps wich wasnt really bad couse I didnt know what fps are anyway ;p so I played cs quiet long and once my friend came to my house and said there is some cool mod called "Day of Defeat" so I asked him if he could make a cd with dod on it couse I did not want to download it.So he passed me the cd with bots.I installed everything and startet to play , from the first moment I enterd the game I was amazed how cool it was it just felt like war.That was about in version 2.1 .So I got my Telephone comapany to install ADSL.Now that I had a decent ping I played for some clan called mNm that was my first dod clan ever , I had no clue what a clan war etc is.The first clanwar I had I was kinda shaking coz it was my first and i wanted to be good.Well after a time in that clan I played for some other untill I upgraded my machine to AMD 2000+ with a Geforce 4mx .Okay it isnt the best but good enough to run dod.And here i am now clanhopping from clan to clan to find the right one :) |
